I quite often write in tangents or half thoughts - if you come across an idea or thought you'd like to see in more detail - just let me know (it's not on purpose folks, honestly I don't really know what kind of stuff people would like to read in here). It is my goal is to write in this blog daily. It's been awhile since I last wrote, I want to make writing a habit; blogging everyday seems like a good way to get things started *Delight*

G'day Shiny Peeps!

So much for my timeline blog - got a halfway decent entry going and then I lost it (chrome crashed) but it's all good - I did get to post a couple of things last night for O.G.D.

I'm really loving my new office set up, my back and shoulder feel much today- still a couple of spots that are painful though I'm sure it will right itself within the next week (didn't take very long when I got my new bed - same deal I'm thinking). With all the realignments I've had over the past couple of months, I think my back problems are going to be a thing of the past *Smile*

I need to start finding some time for quality writing. I handed in my Christmas availability last week, the boss said I didn't give them much... *Confused* excuse me?? I made myself available to work 5-7hours everyday (including Sunday and all day Saturday) - considering my regular work week is only three days a week I thought it was pretty generous of me. I don't want to work myself into a breakdown like the last couple of years, plus I want to be able to spend time on my writing projects as well as study.

When you consider that last year they FORCED me to work Boxing Day for regular pay, I'm being very generous. Last year after that little episode I said I wasn't working any extra shifts this Christmas. I really have tried this year to enjoy the workplace but they make it very hard. I've heard from visiting Staff (from other stores) that ours is the only one with this attitude - I'm sure they have their own problems but I can't imagine they're as bad as here.

There's one staff member the Managers pick on here, one of the Store Greeters, who they force to stand in the one place, don't allow her to talk to other staff members (even if it is to help a customer), a couple of weeks ago they even got up her for talking to customers. One of the Supervisors ask the Area Manager for the section (when she visited last week) why her staff members was being told to work this particular way - the Area Manager told them no way that should be happening, EVERYTHING the Managers here were telling this lady was wrong (complete opposite of what the manual states) - she was doing the job correctly BEFORE the Managers started telling her how to do the job. Thing that really annoyed me with it was they only did this to on Store Greeter (not all of them) - all the other staff in that position do whatever they want (right or wrong).

The funny thing is - when you disregard the insane Management team - I really love working there, I like the job.

Speaking about Christmas, I've still got to decide what I want to do this year. I'm thinking of spending it away from the family; Mum & Dad are going on holiday, so it's not that big a deal - well, might be a deal to some of them, but as we don't talk normally it doesn't really matter. Actually, I'm looking forward to some time alone, focus on my own goals without disapproving eyes hovering around me - what I really want for Christmas this year is my own place away from here *Smile* I've devised a savings plan for Christmas this year, if all goes well I may start a Moving savings fund - I really would like to move next year (funds are the only thing holding me back - *Wink* not for long). Not sure how long it will take but I'd love to move in the first half of 2011 - I'm thinking of moving down Brisbane way as many of my friends live down that way.

I should probably think about getting some of the household chores done - if I don't do them, no one else here will (a pet hate of mine, cleaning up after others who are quite capable to do it themselves. Another pet hate is never being THANKED for doing said housework... but they are quick to jump on me when I don't do them *Rolleyes*)

Got a few exciting things in the works for today - can't wait to share the details, but some things are still in the works so I can't share them yet *Smile* Also have my various writing projects to work on - getting on a roll with a couple of them. Who would have thought buying a new monitor and chair would be so productive?

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!
Live it. Breathe it. Be it.

G'day Shiny Peeps!

As the title suggests, this is going to be a "timeline blog" meaning I'll just update it throughout the day - with any luck, should make a nice long entry by the end of the day. I will add
Update (#) to the title (where # equals the update number for those keeping score *Pthb* ).

Haven't got much writing done, as yet. Been debating where to start... most logical is at the beginning, I know, but there are a couple of start points, I'm thinking of starting at the end and working my way back. Need to sort through a few notes before I can begin, always the catch. I'm definitely working on a filing system and organising things properly - things might run a tad smoother. What a novel thought, sitting down to write and everything is just the way I need it *Laugh* I'll get there, one day soon *Bigsmile*

Kind of torn at the moment, I want to write today but I also want to get my room sorted out. The room is going to take a few days to do, I know the room can wait an extra day but I've wanted things set up this way for over a year now! There's that part of me that just wants it finished. I might re-plan Sunday to finish off the room (after I reach my writing goals for the day *Smile*

Off to sort notes and write an Introduction *Inlove* ...

Update (1)
Finally have the notes sorted... sort of... enough to get started anyway *Pthb* Got it finished just in time to see Raw. Feels like a good thing as I was thinking I needed a break from the desk. Can really feel how bad my old office chair was for me - new one is forcing me to sit properly, kind of like when you get a new mattress. I think it may take a few days to get used to this.

Got a few ideas for the side project in O.G.D. just need to find a way to fit it in/get it out. A problem I can ponder on later cause I need some lunch

Hope y'all have an inspired day!

*Coffeeg* Morning Shiny Peeps!

What an awesome day it is *Smile* Currently working from the recently renovated S'ra Studios (the alternate name for my Evil Lair *Smirk* ) still has a bit of work to be done, the basic structure is there. Got my new monitor and office chair yesterday - set it up last night after I quickly threw my room into chaos to move the desk around. I'm loving it! The last chair had to be raised so I couldn't touch the floor properly just so I could sit my arms comfortably on the desk while typing. This new one, I can sit comfortably with my feet flat on the ground. It's really weird cause this new chair looks smaller than the old one - crazy!

Paid about $100 extra each for the chair and monitor. Monitor is an 'AOC' and 24inch widescreen - I had planned on a 20inch Acer but the store didn't have any (in fact compared to their website they had relatively little). The sales assistant said it was because when sales are on things go quickly however, there was no room for any other stock *Confused* I wasn't impressed with the service either, won't be going back their if I can help it. The store I went to for the office chair was 100 times better service, they even gave me a little sandbag turtle for free (material filled with sand - a desk ornament I suppose) it was only $4 and I'd just spent $213 in the store but hey FREEBIE!! *Bigsmile* - Dad has a thing for turtles, and I don't recall him having one like it before.

Totally happy with the added expense - did eat into my savings account - only has $200 left in it - have devised a savings plan for the next few months but I think I'm going to have to get a six month membership here at WdC for my birthday next month (I can get 12 months when I renew next - could work out better having the bill then, spread things out a bit). Want to get new clothes this year as well as my shiny new Android mobile (currently on layby) I'd really love to get a laptop for Christmas too, need to start earning some extra dollars to do that *Smile*

Decided to put the room renovation on hold today and spend some quality time writing - got a couple of goals to complete today. Exciting stuff. I'm so close I can almost taste it - but more on that later.

Been working on a couple of new ideas, haven't done much with them as yet. When I finish the set-up for O.G.D I will have more time to get stuff typed up here. Starting my studies up this week, wanted to do it last week but I kinda got lost in getting things organised for various writing projects. In some ways it hardly feels like a week has past, sometimes last week seems like it was months ago. Happens when I get absorbed in my work *Smile*

I hate to say it but writing in here isn't going to get these projects done *Smile* Might do a timeline blog and procrastinate update throughout the day. I aim to get a couple of things posted today - not sure how much non-WdC members will see (sorry guys and gals - am working on some "public" projects but they still need work) I'll try to get something up for y'all *Smile*

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!

G'day Shiny Ones!

Hope the day finds you in shiny-ness *Starstruck* It's been a busy few days. I've had my head down working on various structural issues that arose after I made some changes to my project O.G.D. Haven't managed to sort it all out yet, but I'm close. Had a major break through earlier today - means I have to restart the project (*Sick* again!) but I think it is worth it, in the long run for the project.

Despite having a major breakthrough and having to start over, I'm taking the night off. Celebrate the success I've had thus far with the project *Smile* I really have come a long way this past year.

Nothing fancy, just having the night off. Got some takeaway for dinner (my fav Singapore Noodles). Just finished watching Jurassic Park 3 and am listening to some tunes while I figure out what else I want to do... Thinking of reading a book or something, not sure yet.

All I know is I don't want to sit in front of the computer tonight!

Hope y'all have a shiny one!

G'day Shiny Ones!

Hope the day is treating you awesomely *Smile* I've had a fantastically awesome day! *Starstruck*

Sorry for the abrupt leaving yesterday, someone came to check the smoke alarms and power and had to save quick... then the computer wouldn't turn back on when the power was restored. As I had to go to work an hour later, I didn't have time to look into it but when I got home it turned on straight away *Confused* weird.

As my Twitter   Followers heard; I got the most awesome news about 12 hours ago *Delight* Can't wait to share ... but not until the time is right *Starstruck* Trust me, it's Awesomely Shiny!!

Had a few great ideas for O.G.D - I'm going to get an outline written up today to reflect all the recent changes, make sure I have it all straight so I'm not running outdated ideas... I just Spring Cleaned my house may as well continue with my writing project, all the new ideas I've had over the past couple of days have really freshened up the project and given it new direction - it's running so smoothly now!

The day job is going so smoothly as well - the past couple of weeks have been great - even the customers! I'm actually enjoying myself there now, it's strange as I still have nothing to do but stand at my station most the time.

Hate to leave but I really want to get this outline done before I go to work, I'll write more tonight when I get home

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!

G'day Shiny Ones!

I'm back (again) I think... no, definitely back now *Smile*

Did start to get sick again, so I decided to take some time out and rest. Worked like a charm cause I now feel better than ever.

lots has happened since I last wrote, most importantly, my writing project OGD has taken off at light speed. Still getting everything uploaded and I hope to be finished by the end of the week. Feel a little rushed with it all but I'm doing a little each day, trying to spread it out a bit. More on it later *Smile*

Just spent the last week Spring Cleaning the house; and had a major breakthrough with the project on Monday and things have just fallen into place from there - it's amazing. Some of the things I thought were too hard seem so easy now, it's amazing!

Got to bounce, they want to test the power, so I gotta switch the comp off

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!

G'day Shiny Peeps!

The day has started fantastically. I'm really happy with my efforts yesterday; I'm not sure how things are going to play out over the next few weeks... I feel more confident with the project, like things are actually happening - like I'm no longer "faking it" trying to get things done. It's like everything is falling into place, I'm motivated - dress rehearsal is over and this is it *finally*

Got a few chores done.... took longer than I anticipated though (had a slightly later start than I planned), it's all good though *Smile* It is after all my day off so timing doesn't have to be exact. I do have a deadline for a couple of things, shouldn't be a problem as it is a few hours away.

Good news Peeps - I actually have a desk now *Shock* I decided to play things smart and clean all the junk away from it, make it inviting to write and clear the clutter away. Only a quick clean but it looks great! Will definitely need reorganising when I get my new monitor in a few weeks, I'm actually thinking of reorganising my entire office area then perhaps even my entire room. That's on the back burner right now.... must get back to writing!

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!

G'day Shiny Ones!

Yes, you read that right - today I've been moving mountains.

I apologize for the total lack of blogs last week, the flu hit me again and zapped all my energy. Saturday was the worst, zero energy by 3pm - not good considering I didn't finish until 5pm *Sick* Think I managed it well, though I did crash by 8pm - wanted to work on a few things but my eyes refused to stay open. Woke up this morning feeling MUCH better! Energy levels back to 100% *Bigsmile*

When I realized that I was getting sick again I put l my projects on hold... See, I learn *Wink*. Seems to have worked, looks like taking a few days off may have done the trick. Going to take it slow for the next couple of days but continue moving forward - I decided to restart the project I started on the 8th I had a couple of ideas last week and I've decided that it might be a good idea to incorporate them into the project. I've already lost a week and a half with this flu, a "restart" seems like a good idea

.

I did hope to get more done today, the fundamentals are in place, so I should be able to get things up and running in the next day or two (fingers crossed, touch wood, etc)

I'm heading off to bed, I think having another early night could be a good idea. Be fresh and ready to get things moving in the morning *Smile* Just thought I'd touch base, let y'all know that I haven't fallen off the planet.

Hope y'all have a Shiny night/day!

G'day Shiny Ones!

I'm totally *Heart*ing Google Chrome - discovered a shiny feature - "reopen closed tab". I somehow accidentally closed my half written blog entry the other day... this feature brings back all your text as well!!! *Shock**Cool* you can even go back a couple of tabs. Except for a couple of issues with layout and entries in this blog (fixable by tweaking the coding) it seems to be much better than IE (haven't opened it since I installed Chrome). Had my doubts but I'm happy I decided to give it a go.

Been watching Eureka - I *Heart* that show, whoever created it is a genius. Just finished watching the episode "House Rules", where the Sheriffs A.I. House goes postal and locks everyone inside.

Work has been okay, not the best but definitely pleasant. My Friday and Saturday shifts when rather quickly, kind of exhausting though - I've had no energy the past couple of days. Feeling better today though

Back to writing *Smile*

I'm so tired! heading off to bed, just thought I'd touch base *Smile*

Work was different today, had to cut up a whole heap of baby jumpsuits - they were recalled last week so now we have to destroy them... what a waste.

Had a sweet idea before, hope I can get time to work on it in the morning before work.

My little Ravyn image is the coolest?!

It was made by Neko ♥ Away . I *Heart* love *Heart* it!! And the little doll is the cutest! Every time I see it the phrase "I'm on top of the world" comes to mind and instant smile comes on my face... silly, I know, but it works *Smile*

Woke up real late this morning - didn't get out of bed until 9am *Shock*!! It was pouring rain all morning, hence the sleep in; had lights on in the house until about 1pm it was that dark. Been quite cool today as well, got long sleeves on and I'm still rather cool. Haven't got much writing done, planing to do most my writing today after Raw.... been finding I write more (or at least feel more productive) in the evenings. Just have to make sure I get to bed at a decent hour as I have work tomorrow.

Need to make sure I keep taking my vitamins - even though I'm feeling healthier; I'm not out of the woods yet. Last time I felt better and stopped taking them I went down hill within a month or so. I'm taking Calcium/Magnesium, Vitamin C, B Complex, Iron Supplements and one for healthy hair, skin and nails. Oh, and Valerian at night to help with restful sleep (otherwise I wake up exhausted). Towards the end of last week I found myself skipping them, I started back up again yesterday but I felt the effects of missing a few days complete lack of energy all day yesterday. It was like I was on auto-pilot most the day. Not fun.

Took me awhile to find the right mix of supplements to take, a couple of months ago I added the Vitamin C and Iron supplements and within days of adding them I've been on an upward spiral. Don't really like that I have to take all these tablets but the alternative is going to the doctor and getting pills that have 150 side effects (generally worse than what they are fixing). I figure while this way is working I can safely skip the doctors office.

Watched a movie yesterday, 2012 Doomsday (there are so many 2012 films I originally thought it was a different one)... about the Mayan calendar ending in a couple of years. Seemed more like a flick created to try and boost the Catholic/Christian numbers as it blends Mayan legend with the bibles account of Armageddon (but the way they presented parts seemed that way) Movie starts off with One of the main characters finding a crucifix in a hidden Mayan temple (explained by saying that Christianity came to the Americas before Columbus) which is the key to saving the planet). The crucifix is literally a key that opens a hidden room in another Mayan temple - which is complete with instructions on how to save the earth (convenient *Laugh*) Definitely a B-movie but it was watchable.

Just got visitors, I'll come back later *Smile*

Hope y'all have a Shiny day!

122.  Another Productive DayID #703487
Posted: 8-9-2010 @ 7:37 am EDT

G'day Shiny Peeps!

As you can see, I've been playing around with the blog description layout - it's missing something, I know, but I don't really have the time to puzzle it out right now. I'm even experimenting a bit with my entry layout *Smile* To keep myself motivated and on target with my goals, I'm going to keep them right in front of me everyday in this blog. Trying something else with today's blog, I'm keeping it open all day and writing in here when the urge strikes... Might need to back this up in OneNote before I go to work, nobody's coming over to borrow my comp and I lock my account on the computer when I leave the house - better to be safe (don't want to lose the entry *Wink*)

Put music on first up again this morning (as opposed to a movie or tv) I've been finding that it gets me "up" and writing - even during breakfast I can find myself writing *Shock* I generally take my time with breakfast, I surf the net catch up on emails, blogs I like reading, news (wrestling & "real" world), twitter, stuff like that. Multi-tasking is fun *Wink* I'm thinking the reason I'm more alert in the mornings is because I'm using my brain doing these things instead of being a zombie in front if the idiot box.... seems like a valid reason to me, that and this blasted flu is disappearing quickly making me healthier.

I'm finding it easier to sit down and write, a few weeks ago I was struggling - even though I had everything needed for OGD right in front of me. How weird is that?! Want to get some reviewing done, not sure how I'm going to squeeze it in, so it may have to wait until my day off (Wednesday). I have a couple of items open waiting to be reviewed, just a matter of time... which seems to be lacking at the moment - I'm sure I will figure something out.

It was a good thing I copied the entry to OneNote; my monitor was doing weird stuff earlier and I had to restart the computer. Turned on the monitor to find a white screen after my shower this morning - couldn't even bring up the menu options or change channels with the remote (my monitor is actually an LCD tv). Restarting the comp did nothing, as it seems the problem is the monitor not the computer (but I had to rule it out). Luckily it has fixed itself, turned the monitor off for 10mins and it came good. Looked for the receipt and found its warranty has expired *Rolleyes* which is typical of tv's. Definitely thinking I may need to buy a new monitor with my tax return this year. Will buy an actual computer monitor, one that will fit under the shelf of my desk unlike the tv-monitor I currently using.

I think part of my shoulder problems is that the monitor is so far to the right of me (it actually sits on a filing cabinet next to the desk. The problems are with my right side - the side I have to turn to all the time so I can see what I'm typing. The body, unfortunately doesn't work that way - so this monitor playing up could be a good thing - just needs to last through the next month or two. Basically until 1) I get my tax return and 2) find a monitor I like (not sure if I'll just go to a shop in town or put in an order with MudDuck (my "tech support" Uncle) thinking I might price some in town (might try Dick Smith first, as it is owned by company I work for; I can get a discount on the purchase) and see what he says, if they are okay, then I'll get one of them. If he can price one better then I'll go that way. I'm waiting until I process my tax return though, that way I know how much I can spend on said monitor - want to save most the return for my birthday. I want to update my wardrobe this year. If I'm really lucky I might be able to fly down to Brisbane for a day or two and get clothes that I like... what is available in this town is pathetic, the children's department has more stylish clothing than what's available in the women's department - how idiotic is that? Even a day trip to Rockhampton could be a success, guess I'll decide when the time comes.

*Quill* Writing Projects *Writing*
Had to make a post in one of my OGD blogs this morning, meant to do it last night but I ran out of time. As Oz is running something like 16 hours in front of WdC, if I do it before I go to work it'll still be dated 08/08/10 (I guess that's cheating but what can you do? *Pthb* ). Would love to get the outline finished tonight but the time factor could come into play - will definitely have time on Wednesday to finish it (and a couple other things *Smile*).

Been thinking about other things I can add to my Port.... thinking I might create a photo album and add some pictures, not sure what of, something to muse about while at work, perhaps *Laugh* Also have my WWE Blog I've wanted to start for ages now... so I have a couple of non-OGD things to do. I also want to fix up my Bio page, I sort of started it but for whatever reason stopped part-way through.

*Thumbsup* Work *Thumbsup*
Hoping it is going to be a pleasant day, cruise-y even *Cool* On of the main reasons I'm not liking it at the moment is that I go there and am bored, I don't feel like I've earned my pay. I go there and most days just stand around doing nothing (there is only so many times you can clean benches in a 5hr period *Rolleyes* ). I serve, if I'm lucky, 20 people. There are just so many long periods of nothingness. It's mind-numbing! So, yeah, I'm hoping for a nice day *Smile* Just don't ask me to untangle necklaces *Laugh*

It was actually a pretty good day, went quickly; smoke prices went up again overnight (sorry smokers) so I had the fun job of taking the old tags down and putting up the new prices. It was pretty busy today too, unusual being a Monday but it is the time of year people are getting tax returns in Oz. Hope that tomorrow is just as good (actually all week would be nice *Smile*)

*Reading* Study Cert Health *Reading*
Didn't get round to studying today, it felt like a long shot (as half the day was spent at work); Good news though, the Life Coaching course I purchased the other week arrived today *Smile* looks pretty good, can't wait to start reading the course materials. My plan is to finish both courses before Christmas, I have a feeling I will be focusing on the Life Coaching course more than the Cert Health but I do plan on studying both at the same time *Smile* I'm thinking about just doing general look throughs of both courses this week and then actually start them next week; we'll see how it goes.

Wasn't as productive as I'd like to have been today, but then I do have a tendency to expect more of myself. I posted the entry I had to before work, and worked on a couple other things. I'm happy with my efforts for the day, which is the main thing. Didn't get to do my workout today, going to try and fit a session in tomorrow, I'm missing my workouts - it's a great time to sort through ideas and such in my head; I get some fantastic ideas while exercising.

Hope y'all have an awesome day!

G'day Shiny Ones!

I decided that since I was writing up outlines, drafts, etc that I would organise said drafts and notes into OneNote at the same time. Found OneNote last year and have been playing with it, learning the features because as soon as I saw the program I thought it was the perfect place to keep the backup to OGD. It pretty much allows me to set up the project like how it is stored here at WdC. That and the fact you don't need to worry about hitting a save button *Shock**Bigsmile* That was the actual selling point for lil ol' Ravyn *Laugh*

Word was fine but when ever anyone borrowed my comp I'd lose info because being my personal computer (not usually used by others) I didn't have to worry about it. If I was shutting the program (or system) down I would save, naturally but other than that windows stay open for days at a time. If you are a writer I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Microsoft Office OneNote You won't know how you lived without it.

Spent the morning going over some notes and ideas, didn't get much "real" writing done and on top of that I took a break after lunch (a few hours). I needed to sort a few things out in my head before I committed pen to paper... I'm happy to report that when I sat down next I got some quality writing done. To the point that when it came time for dinner I was writing while eating, been quite some time since I've done that. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was that into writing...

I'm still undecided about how I feel about going to work tomorrow, I think the only reason I'm going is because the extra money will come in handy. I really do like my job, I just can't stand the people. I'm told other stores are not like here, but I think it is actually the town - a large percentage of the community is like this. I hope to move out in the next 12 months, not sure where, why or how but it will be a move for the better. *Smile* I'd actually planned to spend my four days off working on setting up OGD (to get it up as quickly as possible) I guess it's true, things don't always turn out exactly how you envision them. Close enough is good enough to me, next week I'll spend extra time on the project. It'll still work out in the end.

It could work for the better this way, the added bit of structure to the week could help with setting up a routine with my writing - having limited time to write this week will allow me to focus my free time to writing. I hope that makes sense...

I finally figured out the Lists feature on Twitter... which allows you to follow a group of people without actually Following them (helps keep your home page less cluttered *Wink*). Actually, I figured that out a couple of weeks ago with the @WWE/Superstars   list; what I had to figure out was how to create my own and how it worked. Not usually that slow on this kind of thing (hell, I had no problem navigating the new WdC layout the first day - I thought it was 100 times better *Wink*) but I just didn't have the time to play around with the feature to puzzle it out. I just created my first lists @RavynsGuide/WdCwriters  . If you're a member of the site and have a Twitter page, let me know and I'll add you to the list *Smile* my other list is @SupremeRuler1   I know I could follow the account, I just felt like playing with the feature. This account is linked to my project OGD ["Operation Global Domination v2.3 [E]] (when I get it up and running that is *Wink*).

Not sure how long it will take me to set up - I believe I'm on the right track for my August 22 deadline... guess we'll just have to wait and see *Smile*

Neighbours are arguing again - all you can hear is anger/hatred/rage and a long list of profanity for five minutes straight; pause for awhile and repeat *Rolleyes* can go on all day and night like that - woke up at 2am a few weeks back to them screaming abuse and throwing furniture. Another good reason why I want to move, I want to live in a nice peaceful neighbourhood *Smile* better yet on a property with a bit of space between you.

Time to turn up the tunes and start writing again *Bigsmile*

Aloha Shiny Ones!

Got a busy day planned - unusual, I know, for a Sunday but what can you do? I plan to get a ton of work done for my OGD project, and if I'm lucky maybe add an item or two to my Port *Smile*

Was so exhausted after work yesterday, actually I was running on empty from about 2pm *Sick* not fun. Got sick of attempting to untangle those bloody necklaces, I gave up having to stop every 5 seconds to serve customers was not helping it, every time I started to make progress I had to stop and by the time I got back to it I'd lost where I was. I don't need the headache. I did my best, got three necklaces almost out - each trapped by just one or two strands of another necklace *Rolleyes*

Picked up two extra shifts this (coming) week, Monday and Tuesday afternoons, so no four day weekend for me. Means my required two days off are split, don't really like that idea but they always do it to me when it suits them. If I didn't need the extra $$ I wouldn't be doing it, after asking for two years straight for extra hours only to be overlooked each time hours come up kind of makes you unwilling to do more then you are contracted to do. Especially when all the people that they've hired for those extra shifts rarely stay more than a few months.

Planning to put most of the money in the bank, got my WdC membership fees due in October, $420US - easily achievable if I follow my new budget. I could be getting a few extra shifts over the coming weeks, according to the boss (a few peeps are going on holidays) not going to hold my breath but a few extra $$ will help *Wink* Also hoping to by some new clothes in October for my birthday, want to update the wardrobe this year as it's been a couple of years *Smile*

Well, OGD isn't going to write itself, unfortunately, so I better get a move on... probably should think about getting dressed first, but I guess it isn't a requirement if I'm working from home *Laugh*

Hope y'all have an inspired day

Spent most my shift at work trying to untangle those necklaces *Rolleyes* Seemed to do a little better then I did yesterday; didn't free any of them though. Guess I'll have an eight hour shift to try and get them free.

I don't think my body likes being in the air-con for my shifts, every time I go to work I end up dead-tired within an hour of arriving to work I feel exhausted... step out the door into the fresh air at the end of my shift and I feel instantly better, still tired but better. Not sure how else to explain it, I figure it must be the air-con as that's the only thing different, we don't have air-con and work does, it also doesn't have any windows to allow fresh air *Sick*

*Laugh* Watching "Scooby Doo and the Goblin King" and Shaggy and Scooby have just changed into Daffney and Velma costumes to sneak into a goblin party - hilarious ... and creepy at the same time *Laugh*

Yes I watch tv and write at the same time, just one of my many talents *Bigsmile* It's weird, there is only 20mins left in the movie and there has been no mention of Scooby Snacks *Confused* If memory serves, I don't think there is any mention of Scooby Snacks in this flick... How odd is that?

Going to call it a night after the flick, got to get up early for work tomorrow

S'up Shiny Ones!

Call me crazy but I'm starting to believe things are getting easier. Not just writing (mostly OGD) but everything in general in my life, the day to day stuff I was struggling with last year is either gone completely or just doesn't bother me the way it used to; I'm now virtually pain free (back and shoulder I threw out). The past few months I've had this strange feeling that I couldn't place, I think what I am feeling is an extreme lack of stress. I've been so stressed for such a long time that I "forgot" what life was like stress-free.

Sounds weird, right? but I think that is what's been bothering me. I've suddenly got more and more free time now too, I barely know what to do with it. The routine I was in was based on when I was limited in what I could do, pain tends to do that. Over the past couple of weeks I've been changing the routine a bit adding the things I was unable to do and removing some of the things I was forced to do (due to limited movement). I think it's working as I'm starting to feel happier, I'm looking forward to each day - something that seemed impossible just a few short months ago.

I'm trying to be smart with the new schedule and prioritizing many of my goals into it - why fill my daily routine with things I don't really want to do? Seems kind of strange if you ask me. Writing is one of my main priorities, haven't done much of it as yet but I'm sitting at my desk during the times I've scheduled to write. At the moment I'm just surfing the 'net, reading other blogs, I do do a little bit of writing but nothing I can share yet (it's coming)

I think another reason I'm feeling happier is because I can see the goals I set for my life in 2008 materializing before me, I am so close - it's no longer a dream, it's a reality *Shock**Cool* I think that's why I called my blog 'Living the Dream, to kind of fake my way to where I needed to be. I think I may have been a couple of steps ahead of myself, I used to be so hard on myself for not achieving things but when I look back I know I was doing the best I could do at the time. I guess you need to take a step back and look at the Big Picture sometimes.

Hope y'all have an awesome day!

S'up Shiny Peeps!

Was hoping to get a little writing done tonight by I am *Yawn* so tired!

Work, well, was work. They had me doing the most frustrating thing today - seems like a couple of days ago someone somehow manage to get 8 or so necklaces caught up and knotted into one lump of mangled metal *Rolleyes* and not just any necklaces, ones that all had three 'layers' of different length thin metal chain joined into one necklace {e:horror} And apparently I drew the short straw before I even arrived - yea me! {e:sarcasm}

I spent three hours straight trying to untangle that mess... and I think I got absolutely nowhere *Sick* I think S. (my supervisor) either took pity or saw how frustrated I really was because she kind of took over for a good chunk towards the end of the shift. Annoyingly for both of us, one of the kids from the floor saw what we were doing and said "I know how to do that" and just flew through a heap of it!! *Shock**Shock* - S. was just as shocked at me but we saved ourselves by telling him that he had it easy cause we "loosened" it for him *Laugh*

Needless to say my back and shoulder are rather sore - the bench we had to work from was low, and hunching over for a long period of time just ain't going to end nicely when one's back and shoulder isn't 100% to start with.

Not sure if I'm going to write before work tomorrow or do some tidying in my room - really need to declutter the room. I plan to donate everything I don't use or need to one of the local charities, I don't need it so may as well let someone who does. The whole house is cluttered, can't really do anything about the other rooms as 1) my things aren't in them (I make sure of that) and 2) it's not my house, so not my place. I can do something about my own things, so that's what I'm going to do *Smile*

Live it. Breathe it. Be it.

S'up Shiny Ones!

I've decided to move on from trying to write some new things and instead work on my website when I want (or need) to take a break from OGD. Will probably be easier to work on two projects instead of three (or more, one never knows where the Muse will lead). Honestly, I don't know what I want to write about in regards to new creative pieces.

I think once I get the basic set up of the project complete, I will be able to spend some time working on more creative pieces. I feel kind of bad that I have such a lack of items in my Port. But then, Rome wasn't built in a day - so I feel a little better.... still no closer to deciding what I want to write, though.

Going to be a fun day, is the start of my work "week", haven't been out the mall so I have no idea what I'm in for - with any luck they will have actual work for me to do *Wink* Not much time for writing this morning but perhaps after dinner tonight, when I finish work. Want to get a couple of outlines finalized.

Nothing else really to report, so I might head off and do the washing up.... sad that washing up is the most I have to do this morning *Rolleyes*

Live it. Breathe it. Be it.
