These are just my bullish opinions about world events, books, movies, website behavior and TV that I will jot down as they occur to me.
Here I am contemplating what I will write in my Blog:
They do not reflect the opinions of the herd or of anyone else on this website - just me and my human, tHiNg.
Sometimes I will write as me (HOOVES) and sometimes my human will stick her big butt two cents in.
Most of these entries will be short I hope. I deleted my old blog because it was started way back in time. Since I have been here eight years tomorrow, it is time for fresh hay.

Hmmm...Seinfeld was a good one...never did see Sex and the City..never did see NYPD Blue...I would place the Andy Griffith show as #1...The Munsters at #2, Addams Family at #3...I dream of Jeannie at #4...and although my daughter has appeared in the Sopranos...I never did see that either. Hmmm...do you think there is something wrong with me that I never saw #2,3,6, 7, 8, 9 and 10? 10 I may have seen once with...I think Jennifer Anniston?!
I ditto the comments of Summerlyn and Adriana. I appreciate your reviews. It means more to me when your remoos show up, because you cared enough to return. Thank you!
I feel with you here. I really do. Things have changed so much in the past two years as far as reviewing goes. It used to be, you could do 10 or so quality reviews a day and be at the top of the list. Now, unless you belong to some reviewing group, your lucky to make the list at all. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great to have groups that promote reviewing. But me, personally, don't feel right reviewing items just for review credits. If I read and review a piece it is because it caught my eye and I honestly wanted to. No strings attached--nothing expected in return.
At any rate, I digress. Keep your chin up. I, myself, love your reMOOs!
Have a great weekend!
Gee...that is one spoiled pup you have there! Good thing Mary Poppins doesn't need to go out right now..let's hope it stops so she won't need that umbrella over her!
Hugs to my moo-ing Thing-like friend. Life is full of questions and so few answers. I've come to realize that is what makes it interesting. Great job on your goals and yay for new keyboards.

I had a tough attitude about flu until I got it. It is like being hit by a bus in the rain. Do not get it if you can help it. The shot was not available for me, but if I could get it I would advise it.
The worst of it was the stomach part. It comes in waves. Trust me. It was rough.
I did not have the bad part with breathing, thank God - just a little conjestion.
I am ten days out from the worst of it. The worst lasted about 48 hours. Still recovering. Got it on the evening of Nov. 5. Now it is Nov 13 and I feel slightly more human again. The worst days were Nov. 7 and 8. Shudders.
Waves weakly at others.
Love,
HOOVES/tHiNg
The Salvia or Scarlet Sage, as my mother called it, is still in full red vivid bloom.
We planted it to begin with because my mother and I often discussed it before she died. That is a strong memory that I have of my mother in her last years - admiring the Scarlet Sage.
That is unheard of for it to last until November 3rd, but we have not had a freeze I guess. The flower makes me think of my mother and I am so glad it is still beautiful now it is the month she passed away.
I do not think it will last until Thanksgiving, but it is nice to dream that it will. I must photograph it soon.
Puzzling. Frustrating. But I will not quit trying with more than 150 reviews under my fingers. If, however, I go down so far to go off that list, I will reevaluate giving my reviews publicly. I like doing it because it promotes the items I am reading and because I like to be on that most credited list. I admit that I want to be on it, but I remain puzzled and to fall down the list is discouraging to my efforts.
I enjoy my reading so I can do it publicly or not I guess. I will enjoy it either way and not be as frustrated on the one hand, or I can keep trying on the other. For now, I will keep trying as I have been since the summer. Who knows. Maybe I will have a breakthrough!
is a good day even though it is raining and cold. My dog is sleeping and not scratching to go out in the rain, which helps. When we go out in the rain I have to hold a golf umbrella over her or she won't consider going out. So I have my hood up as I stand in the rain holding the umbrella over her as she (she is long - a bassett hound - finds her spot). I have to be careful not to fall so this sort of looks like Mary Poppins - only in this case my pup is Mary Poppins. lol
I have been a moderator for five years. Pretty cool!
I must abandon the questioning and accept the fact that there are things I will never get and move on.
Just do my best, have fun and move on.
I exceeded my goals for September.
My goals for October are to find a way to get beyond some of my physical limitations. The new keyboard helps a lot with some of my discomfort and frustration with this computer. I am lucky in so many ways and I need to quit thinking about the ways that are not so lucky.
One of my favorite things to do here is reorganize how my work is displayed. I have a lot of fun doing that and today I did some stuff I have been meaning to do for almost three months.
That felt good and like I accomplished a lot.
Plus, so far, Sept. has been just about the best month for me this year. Best I can remember anyway. Yay! I am eight years old plus! And it is really fun to be here!
