Some experiences I want to write about aren't worth doing "VENT PIECES on...no matter how fun they are to do.

I'm leaving for Texas Tuesday. I'm at 40308 words at the moment. I want to get as many words as possible before I leave. I have no desire to fall behind!

Today's the fifteenth, which means if I'm on schedule, I'll have about 25,000 words. I have a little over that.

The first time I did NaNoWriMo, I failed miserably. The second and third times, I finished the novel, but my word count wasn't high enough. This year, I signed up on the website and I am doing quite well for the most part. I just hope I get that word count. By my very nature, I'm a concise writer. I'm breaking all of the rules now!

Getting my word count was a challenge today, but I got it. Last night, I started a short, heroic fantasy story. I typed it and finished it today. It's four pages, right about 885 words

I'm really glad NaNoWriMo is about quantity and not quality.

I've been working on my research paper all afternoon. We needed six sources--I only have five--and I hand-wrote notes on all of my sources, then another page on just common knowledge stuff. I'll cut up the various parts and put them where they need to be in the paper.

Surprisingly, my eyes hurt far more than my hands.
