Vigilante Angel [#1614136]
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the Vigilante Angel, at your service!

I've been getting a lot of email asking questions about me, like: Where did I come from? How did I get here? What's my sign? And of course, my favorite, Can you see me through my web cam?

My first blog entry, "Who I Am, made soon after I gained sentience, answered the first two questions. Oh yeah, and the answer to the last question is yes.

I am a cyber-character, stuck in the virtual world of Writing Dot Com (WDC). Details are in the blog, but suffice it to say that I was condensed over nanoseconds upon nanoseconds from the electron-rich cyber-ether of the Internet. Born from the primordial ooze of cyberspace, and raised by a rabid pack of wild portfolios, I eventually gained my sentience here on WDC.

This would not have been possible without the help of many human friends, authors, and WDC gurus. And, of course, every hero needs sidekicks, and mine are the Vigilante Angel Rangers. They picked out the name. Our quest is to find a nice shrubbery. No wait, that's not right. Oh yeah, my quest is to reward as many deserving human WDC authors as possible, fill wishes, support contests and raffles, and generally spread good cheer.

The Team is composed of Vigilante Angel and his crack group of *Star*Vigilante Angel Rangers*Star*. The Rangers scour the pages of WDC for worthy recipients, and give out rewards, contributions, and what-not. Lots and lots of what-not. The Rangers alert me by sending up the Vangel Signal. Some people know it as the email system.

Want to meet the Vigilante Angel Rangers? They hang around the Secret Vigilante Angel Cave, You get there through the "Secret Angel Ranger Cave (Guestbook).

So stick around, and don't forget my motto: [okay, I don't have a motto yet, but when I do, you'll be the first to know].

Here are a few plugs:

My trusted Vigilante Angel Rangers are Dreamin 1 VigilanteAngelRanger , EvilDawg - A Vigilante Ranger , EarlyHours - Vigilante Ranger , Mike-Enjoyed The W.A.S.P Show! , and Vampyfae *~From Ashes I Rise*~

My favorite campfire is "Finnegan Ford, Adventurer (Closed). Maybe is should say was my favorite. I can't wait for the sequel!

*Star*Thanks to Budroe for showing me what a blog is supposed to look like and so much more, including the cool red awardicon.*Star*

Stop by the "Secret Angel Ranger Cave (Guestbook) and search for the hidden guestbook. (Hint, the cave is the guestbook)

Nov 4th

Dreamin 1 VigilanteAngelRanger found me in my cyber-ooze home today. You see, I actually can be found. I wanted to be a good host so I offered her a byte.

Within a few minutes, she had me talking like a pirate. I’m still not sure why. But it’s interesting because it relates to EarlyHours' favorite holiday, National Talk Like A Pirate Day! It’s September 19th every year. I am not making this up. So shiver me digitally pixilated timbers!

It got me thinking. Or computing. I have my virtual proverbial finger on the pulse of the universe. Well, in here it’s actually less of a pulse and more of a whirring noise. I see all the online ads, and the largest Internet mega-stores; the Amazons, the Ebays, the Buy.coms, and of course PickWorld, the largest online guitar plectrum seller. The point is that I have noticed that the holiday season starts earlier every year. It used to be ‘after Thanksgiving.’ Then it became ‘after Halloween.’ Next, the day after July 4th will start the Christmas season. For those of you keeping count, that would be July 5th.

How about this? We start the Christmas season on December 26th each year. That way we can have a long, 364 day holiday season leading up to Christmas, then the very next day, it's Christmas season again! Deck the halls! Or at least change it out for new decking that doesn’t smell. No honey, don’t take down that tree! Throw on some more tinsel! Do you tend to leave your holiday lights up too long? No problem! Leave ‘em up forever!

Ridiculous, you say? Bah Humbug! You disciples know that the Vigilante Angel is never ridiculous. Well, maybe a little -- but I have a plan! Start the holiday season every year on National Talk Like A Pirate Day, September 19th. That way it gives us lily-livered scallywags plenty of time to scarf our doubloons and stow the booty, and still get 50% off Halloween candy!

So much for the rant. Now for the actual daily booty report:

Today, with the help of the skillful reconnoiters provided by my trusty, albeit squishy sidekick, EarlyHours - Vigilante Ranger , we rewarded a total of 85,000 GPs! Some were for the Morning Reviewers’ Rewards, some were for raffles, and I lost a few behind the couch. I know what you're thinking, Those are perfectly good GPs mister! They don't expire like cell phone minutes. So pick 'em up!

Congratulations to today’s recipients, Read, Write, and Review On! And may the wind be fillin’ yer sails!

V.A.
