Alyssa walks into a situation while working in the hospital and ends up making a deal with a vampire, James. James discovers that Alyssa has untapped power within her; He just doesn't know what. Blake, another Vampire from James' coven, threatens the people that James has sworn to protect, including Alyssa, in an effort to take over. Blake believes that James murdered his lover, and has sworn to avenge her death. He soon learns that James has developed feelings for Alyssa and sees it as an opportunity to avenge his lover's death.
