Anthony looks at his watch 2;30. Not time yet. sees many of the WTC attendees arriving, many in Native attire. He remembers his mother telling him about his father for the first time. How he lived far away and wouldn't be visiting. Later he questioned why he never came to see him, was he mad at him? Had he done something wrong. She had shown him where his father lived and that he was now a part of a big company that was very important. Anthony had followed his father in the news and where ever he went. He found that his father and the company were very high profile and traveled to many countries. Yet he never contacted Anthony. His mother did not talk about his father(name?) and her relationship with him.
When he was a teen he wrote to his father, not telling his mother he had done so. He waited about 3-4 weeks and when there was no response, he wrote again, still no response. He wrote a third time and waited. One day he came home from school to find this mother sitting at the kitchen table waiting for him. She wasn't at her job and he knew something was wrong. Her expression was both sad and her hands were nervous as she held and envelope. Anthony could see that it was the one he sent. She slid the envelope across to him and he read the words RETURN TO SENDER on it. Anthony's heart stopped, he couldn't breath and he thought he was going to fall off the chair. He gulped air and turned his pale face to his mother. She asks why and what he wrote?. How did he find the address? He tells her he just wanted to contact his father, to let him know he was an A student and he would be proud to call him son. His mother eyes tear. She holds his hand and he pulls away, she is going to tell him something he doesn't want to hear. She says that when she told his father she was going to have his baby, he told her that he would not be the baby's father. She would receive some money each quarter and a lump sum if the child was a boy and decided to go to college. The cost to have this money would be no contact with him or the $ would stop. She buries her head in her hands and tells him without the money they will probably be homeless. Anthony was shaking he had really screwed things up.
(do not resolve)
Begin to locate all four of the Muslim men. Mufid sees Beth watching one of the men and is afraid she will tip them off so sends an agent to get her. Mufid, HLS and chief move out of the room to discuss what next. Mufid says he will leave now that everyone of the men are under surveillance. As he begins to leave he sees a group come in and recognizes his father.
There is resentment at the man that used him as a pawn. He rarely saw him as he was growing. He had one younger sister and that was it. He went to the best schools and got excellent grades including the university and a couple years in Europe. Then he came home, hoping to join his father in his business. He was married to the woman his father arranged for him the daughter of a Financial mogul. Then when he was sure he would join his father he was then sent to training. This was a very sophisticated cell. When his training was over he and his wife were sent to the US set up in a nice house, his job as a cabby got him all kinds of info and knowledge of the City and its surroundings. He made his report to the local cell leader and in turn was asked to house young men send from the homeland to the US to assimilate into the society. He strongly suspected that some of his "guests" were slated to terrorist acts against the US and their allies.
His mother never came to visit and he only spoke to her once every two or three months when it was allowed. She didn't say anything except that she was fine and yes she received the letters and gifts from the children. Now here just a few yards from him stood the pawnmaster of his life.
He moves to the group that seem to be waiting for someone and asks if he can help. One turns to explain they are waiting for memebers to come through customs. Mufid suggests a coffee bar around the corner where they can watch the door to the customs area. Two of the young men are dispatched to find seating. Mufid turns to face his father who by now is curious. Hello father, Mufid solves the question in his eyes. the man confirms he is here for the WTC and that is about it. The man didn't do small talk. Mufid inquires about his mother, ans: hasn't seen her in over a year or so. There is no apology. Mufid has no feeling for this man but he is feeling the sense someone is standing next to him.
It is Anthony. "We meet again." Mufid, suspecting his involvement with the four men nod. "Is there something I can help you with? Anthony is asking Mufid and the man. No they both answer. Man walks away to coffee shop
anthony asks Mufid if he knows that man. Mufid asks why? Because he is my father."
Mufid is shocked, not just that his father had a son he didn't know about, but what were the chances they would meet up. Where was he raised? what involvement was he in the local cell? did he know a connection between the man and the radicals?
Mufid ans with "That is interesting as I also am his son."
It is Anthonys turn to be surprised. Father shows up again."Isn't there something that you both are supposed to be doing?
Both look at him as if he has gone crazy to even speak to them like a boss. 'Not that it is any of your business why do you care?
What you both do is not a secret. father speaks
Both men look at each other and frown. Each have their secrets and wont reveal
Anthony is a bit hostile as he says to his father, "My mother is dead, any connection we had has just been ended."
Father "I beg to differ. You are all part of a plan and you better stick to your part if you know what is good for you. he turns and leaves. Anthony is frowning. You have money? why are you a cab driver?
"You have money why are you a rent a cop?" there is a bit of respect that passes. It looks like we were both screwed over."
Anthony watches his half brother walk away and go to the coffee shp. Anger infuses his body as he realizes that his father will talk to Mufid but totatlly ignores Anthoy. Because of the innocently writtne letters, his father cut off all support to Anthony and his mother. She worked 3 jobs to help him get through a community college. He was able to get scolarships for the next four yers and he patitioned the cell who paid some of the book costs out of charity. He didn't like the charity but money was money and his father owed him. He saw Beth making her way down the long hall. She was on a mission and when he turned to see who she was going to see it was the head of HLS and the Chief. He slipped around teh crowds of travelers and made his way right behind Bet. He abducted her sying he had nothing to lose right new but she was not going to get anywhere near thsoe men. He tries to make eye contact with the traveler but no one would looke at her. the ones she did connect with turned away and didnt'e want to get involved Behind the excalators she ushered him into a room. It was a supplu room. there was a metal pipe agains the wa;; and Anthony handcuffed her too it. he didn't speak as he left her there. She had to get out. She had to find Mufid and make sure they were on to the men.

Mufid, HLS and Chief are in the security video room. He is staring at a multitude of screens looking for any sign of the four men he saw. He finds the first one in the food court drinking tea (tea bag hanging out of cup) The agents were radio'd to watch him. Mufid was again watching the monitors, He sees Beth in the baggage claim, What do you see? HLS asks Mufid looks away and goes back to looking at the monitors again, He keeps her monitor in his peripheral vision. He sees the bag fly off the baggage stack and slam the agent to the floor, in the black and white image he sees blood and brains fly from the man's head. He gasps and HLS and others begin radioing for EMS to run and for officers to get to the area. Mufid sees Beth go away from the area pulling her bag. He sees her stop and look down the walkway. looking to each monitor he finds the one that includes the long look and sees her looking at Anthony, who is giving directions to one of the men he is looking for. The man leaves to walk away, Mufid sees him enter the men's bathroom. He sees Beth walk to Anthony. They have a conversation and Anthony leaves to get in line for the escalator. He watches Beth walk away. She is standing in line for shuttle phones. He starts to look at the other monitors but glances back to Beth. All around him are men on radios directing the EMS and security to dead man. The action take up 3 of the monitors. He is looking at the others. Beth is on the move. She is looking at the elevator. She heads to the elevators and pushes her way to the front even with others talking to her. He sees that one man and a woman try to push her to the back of the group. He sees her turn on them and speak to them. There is a general backing away and some talk. The others look at each other and she must tell them something else. They remain standing as the doors open, empty the riders and she enters alone. The doors close. Mufid looks at the other elevator monitors. run these back quickly. the seconds are taking time and he is still watching the elevator for Beth to exit.
He looks at the video and sees why she changed her mind. One of the men with a black case enters the elevator and gets off at the next level. He walks to the arrival/depart board and looks at it. He doesn't have to say anything the men are already making calls to agents to watch this guy. mufid goes back to looking for Beth. She leaves the elevator and begins walking to the short stairs to the police area is. Mufid sends an agent to bring her here. At a glance he sees Anthony standing at a column looking down at the Check in area. he then moves to the escalator and passes Beth as she is going up. She turns to say something to Anthony and he just nods and waves his hand, going down

Anthony hurries through the crowd of travelers. There seem to me more and more heading down the escalatos. He can't find a way up the long slow moving stairs. he is looking at the people traveling down and though there are just as many they seem to be going past at a faster rate. He feels the intermitten jerk and his wors fears have come to fruition. The escalator grinds to a squealing halt. there are groans and people and luggage stop. He hollars up the stiars. to get them moveing faster at the top. In frustratio he mutters, if I don't get to the top I am gong to die with all these people. The woman in front of him wips her head and asks if there is a trhreat. he says there is always a treat. she notices he is sweating. It is hot he replies. Not in here. there is a threst. she starts to call out for people to get oing that there is a threst and they are going to die. the people behind him look startled and when he doesn't refute it some turn and run down the escalator and out to the street yeeling of a threat.
People make a way from him to get up the escalator and he is asked repeatedly about the threat which he answers. That woman said it I didn't, but I would be heading out of the area if I were you. He didn't answer and left them to make their decisions on their own. At the top he faced even more travelers. Some hurring in and other hurrying down to the baggae claim area. he went straight to the Security office and looked around. Describe the bodies being taken out. What happened? officers tell him. He goes to the cell no one is there. Where is the man that was here?
Hls took him, think they went to the video room. Anthony goes to the hall and walkes to a area that over looks the checkin. he pulls his radio out of his pcket and punches a code, pausing at the second to the last number. He remebers the camera can see him so he steps behind a support column.

Beth headed for the escalator and headed to the lower level. There was a cop at the bottom who tried to stop her. She said she had to get her bag. He looked at the one in her hand and at her. She hid her feelings and prayed he would let her go, he stepped aside. She hurries passed the line where people are standing. The area where the baggage claim man hit the wall was closed off and all the baggage there was moved to one of the baggage "turnstiles" She slipped by and around the back leaving the one she brought at the end of the pile. She was looking through the piles of luggage for hers. One of the agents came to offer help. She showed her mangled claim ticket and they began looking. As they moved down the line the man went on a head of her. She could hear voices on the other side complaining of the way the suitcases were stacked. She saw a bag that looked like hers, standing on her tip toes she pulled the tag away from the handle to look for the owners identity. She leaned against the pile. It looked like her business card. The agent ahead of her bent to look at the tag of one of the cases near the floor when a large case, sporting a HEAVY tag attached to the handle. As Beth turned to ask for help she saw the bag airborne to land full force on he agent's head. He fell, his head smashed under the bag and the metal edge of the conveyor table. Blood squirts out and Beth stands horrified and the bag she was looking at slides to the floor beside her. The agent had her claim and now it was soaked in blood. She took her bag and headed away from the melee.
"Hey, Stop!" she turns to see another TSA running by her to talk to a couple who were wheeling their luggage away. She turned and while she was waiting to use the phone to call the hotel's shuttle, she sees one of the men the cab driver told her about walking into an elevator. As she looked back down the walkway another man dressed in similar garb with the same travel case stops and asks a policeman something. When The police man turns she sees it is the one who shared the cab with her. He is pointing the man to the restroom. Leaving the line she goes to the Policeman and tells him to contact the HLS. The man he spoke to and his friend who just went up the stairs, may be terrorists. He should call someone and tell them where they are.
Anthony asks how she knows and who else knows. She tells him that the cabby they rode with knows these guys and was talking to the HLS and chief. So they are looking for these guys? She says yes. He says he will check into it. When she gets back in line she sees Anthony talking on his phone. Watching the bathroom exits, she sees the man with the rolling case come out of the restroom and he has changed his jacket for a shirt and the scarf he had around his neck is now tied to the rolling case he is now carrying. OH SHIT! now she has to find the cabby or an officer. She sees the man that changed, go up the elevator, he slides on just as the doors start to close. She turns and follows. "Dear God, don't let him detonate his bomb."

Mufid watches the commotion and see the officer Beth spoke to look his way then go to a phone and speak into it. There was a long conversation and then the officer comes to the window. He doesn't see Beth and twists the door knob and look around. wants to know where Beth went. Mufid tells him that she left but he is the one who knows what is going on and if he doesn't speak with the head of HLS time is ticking and the men have been in the airport for over an hour. This terrorist cell could happen any minute or it could be targeting a plane crash like 9/11. The officer turned and went back to the phone. He was sweating and the commotion around the bathroom was a huge distraction. Finall the EMS people show up. There is a path made and the gurney's are brought in 2 of them. Then the door to the hall is opened and a group of men stride in and look around. The office goes to them and talks indicating with his head that Mufid is the one they need to talk to. The men want to know what is going on at the bathroom. The officer tells them and they are surrounded by officers all trying to talk. A loud whistle silences everyone and the Chief barks orders and the crowd disperses. The three men and small entourage come to where Mufid is. They come in and want to know what he is talking about. He tells them he saw four men he knows and they are all pulling black suitcases and belong to the same sect of Muslims. The HLS question him more intently on who he knows these men, why does he think they may be terrorists....Mufid finally gets frustrated with the questioning. He stands and says Fine, Forget it, I will just get in my cab and leave, if nothing happens we are all good. I warned and it was a false alarm. If not you all are dead and I can go home to my wife and family and I might feel sorry for you, but i won't." he starts to leave but the HLS stopps him. Can you locate them on video screen if you see them? Yes,
Come with us. They leave for the video security camera room.

Beth enters the cell and sees the cab driver and in the corner is a woman seated. The woman is just staring at the two. Beth greets the cabby and sits across from him pushing the suitcase between herself and the woman. She is wondering why he is here? She just left his cab about an hour or so ago, what could have happened in that time that landed him here in the police cell? She gets brave and asks. He answers but gives no details. Beth goes on to say that she took the wrong suitcase and they won't help her to find her own case. With all that is going on, she understands the security, but all she wants is her own case and to go to her hotel.
Mufid asks what is the problem. she tells him that somehow when she left the hotel, the white baggage claim tape disappeared. It was on there when she left the hotel but while standing in line it just disappeared. The woman in the corner shook her head in disbelief, the cabby didn't respond or even offer sympathy.
The woman begins to moan and hold her stomach. She bends over moaning and crying as if in real pain. Both Mufid and Beth just sit there for a moment then Beth stands and begins pounding on the door to get attention. the upper part of the room has glass windows with bars and there is a small window in the door. Beth pounds until someone looks at her and she motions to the woman and pantomimes being sick. After a number times repeating the action two of the officers come to the window. When they see the woman who now is on the floor, they call a female officer to help them and they come in taking the woman out of the room and she is able to walk but bent over in severe pain. She is taken to the restroom.
Beth sits on the same bench as Mufid. He finally cannot contain his news and shares with Beth hoping she can get them to listen to him. She knocks on the window again but this time she is calm and looks at one of the Sr officers in the eye until he comes to the door. She tells him that she has information that is detrimental to the safety of the airport and needs to speak to him. He opens the door a crack. She says I have information of a possible terrorist attack on the airport. The officer narrows his eyes and tells her that if she is playing games she will be in deep trouble. She looks him square in the eye and says I don't want to die, do you? Get the head of HLS and your Chief here immediately." What do you know? What can you do? Do you have the authority to mobilize men to search for terrorists? No I have to go through protocol. then GET ME THE HEAD OF HLS or you won't have to worry about your job you won't be alive to do it!. When he swings to do what sheasks she puts her foot in the door and asks for cabbys pen. she sticks it in the jam and then watches while the word spreads.
There is a scream that pierces the area and a woman officer is standing outside the bathroom white and screaming, she is not the one who took the woman in the bathroom. The others run to her. Mufid and Beth go to the window to see what is going on. Something happened in the bathroom with the sick woman and the officer that took her in. There is a crowd around the door, no one is paying attention to Mufid and Beth. Beth says she is making a run for the baggage claim to find her bag and get out of the airport. Mufid wants her to stay. Just tell them you are the one with the information and I was just trying to get it to the right people. Beth leaves. No one notices. The pen is still in the door.

Mufid enters the airport after the EMS have taken out the dead man. Finds a TSA/Security agent and asks where the head of security is. He walks to the office and is in a crowded room. He finally gets the attention of someone at the desk who says they don't have time as there is a mess in the airport and the Head of HLS is here. Can he come back later in the week.
Mufid tries to tell the person that this is important and he needs to talk to someone right now or there might not be a next week. The person looks at him and frowns. He takes the measure of Mufid and calls one of the men over to whisper the other man steps up to Mufid and tells him to come with him. Mufid asks what is his rank and if he has any authority?
The officer is just a "beat cop" and Mufid refuses to go with him and demands to see the head of HLS. they Officer calls for help and takes him to a holding cell, where a angry woman is sitting in a corner muttering to herself. He is furious at the fact he was profiled, maybe he should just let those guys complete their mission and so what kill them all. As he sits fuming the thoughts of his wife. Even though it was an arranged marriage, he loves her and she is a wonderful woman and supporter. His children come to mind. He loves them more than his own father loved him. His father is a business man that traveled a lot. Mufid rarely saw him and had little interaction with him until he was in his late teens. His Father took him from his home and sent him to a school for international business. Then (9/11) came and a few years later he was ordered by the company to move to the United States. He was given a wife and papers and sent to the US soon after his son was born. He had only spoken to his father a few times during those years and that was when he got married and just before they left Iran. His father was a respected man in the Iranian business world, but Mufid had no idea if he would be heir to any of it if his father died. His mother never spoke of the casual relationship she had with her husband. He provided her needs and her wants and she wasn't going to rock that boat. Mufid called his mother every so often.
He sees a group of people coming his way and sees the woman and the cop, who rode his cab this morning, coming toward the cell where he sat. The door opens and she is pushed in along with her suitcase.

He is dragged into the fray and finds that the suitcase is not hers. but it has no identifying tags, how does she know it isn't hers? Finally agent ask Anthony to take her to security and deal with her. Beth demands that they find her luggage, Where is it? She hands them her claim tickets and they say they were delivered here to Seattle. Where ?? There is suspicion, Is she trying to leave a suitcase in the airport that may be harmful? Beth is scared and angry. She has to have the papers for her boss on Monday morning. She is caught, what does she do? Will this security guy help her?
He leads her away along with another officer to the security section.
Security asks her to open case. Her key won't work. Their TSA key won't open the lock. There is no baggage claim tag identifying the bag, What airline and plane it was on. She says she didn't remove it. It was there when she tried to give it to the baggage agent. They must have removed it. They put the case through the x-ray but nothing shows up. It is completely black. They accuse her of hiding something, putting metal lining in the case. She has told them she opened it and saw that it wasn't her's. They ask what was in it. She refuses to tell. They are very suspicious since she won't tell what was in the bag. It isn't hers. What was in the bag belongs to someone else. They swab the outside but there is no trace of contaminants. They ask if there was anything in the bag that would identify the owner. She said she didn't look. She didn't touch anything inside.
conversation goes on trying to get her to tell what was in the bag. The agents get agitated and take her to a holding room but keep the case the area of the xray machine.
They hear a call that there is a man wanting to see the head of security and the Head of Homeland Security. It is a matter of life and death but the man will not tell what the issue is.
Anthony starts to go and see who the man is, but he is called to go back to the baggage claim area as there are some people fighting. He is concerned about what the life and death issue is. Others are rushing to the central video room. He wants to go but is told to get down to the baggage area and break up the crowd.
He goes down there and sees that there is a big fight. As he tries to help break it up. Two men come from outside. Each rolling a suitcase. They do not go up the escalator to the departures but one goes into a restroom and the other keeps walking by the baggage claim "terminals". (name?)
He checks his watch. He needs to get back to the Security office and see what is happening up there. These men are suspicious. He noticed that some of the travelers were eyeing the men as they walked by. After the combatants were subdued Anthony hurries back to the Police department.
