Hey everybody. I'm Casey A. Valentine . I was inspired to do this project by the movie "Julie and Julia," about a woman who uses Julia Childs as an inspiration for her own online blog, and it had me hooked.

So now I'll be posting my "Bible Diary" here, along with my progress each day, and you are welcome to comment on it.

Also, I hope you will join me in this little project. If you do not have a Bible, or are simply not interested, that's okay. But if you do join me, I'd appreciate it if you would send me an email, and we could support each other to help us get through it.

Anyway, that's all for today. Write on! *Smile*

* * *

Pages read: 3/4

Hi again. Okay, so even though I didn't write last night, I read a little. Sorry I didn't record it, but I'll do it tonight.

* * *

Pages read: 6 pages

Time read: 35 minutes

Verse(s) read: Leviticus 27:1-Numbers 2:34

What I learned: I learned that the total number of Isrealites-not including the Levites, equals approximately 603,500, and that the reason the Levites weren't counted was because they were appointed to take care of the Tabernacle (tay-ber-naycle).
Interesting...

Okay, so there are a few things I didn't write down last night. One, the Patriots lost the Superbowl. :( Two, last night I also learned that back then, if you used the Lord's name in vain, you would be stoned to death. I know many people (unfortunately including myself) who should be thankful that they don't live in that time period.
Number three, was, well, basically a reminder of last night's to do this tonight, if that makes any sense (it does to me):).
Anyway, here are tonight's results:

Pages read:

Time read:

Verse(s) read:

What I learned: I learned that God rewarded people for being obedient. I also learned that there are many important days of celebrationthat many people have never even heard of, much less celebrate, in this time.

Hi. So I'm really sorry I haven't been writing lately. I've just been very distracted lately-and too lazy and unwilling to follow through with this project. Anyway, here's my info for tonight:

Pages read: 6

Time read: 20 minutes

Verse(s) read: Leviticus 21:22

What I learned: I learned that people who cursed in the Lord's name used to be stoned to death, and that they also had a lot of important feasts.

I've made a lot of resolutions this year, and one of them is to be more involved in my project, so here I go:

Pages read: 7

Time read: 20 minutes

Verse(s) read: Leviticus 1:1

What I learned:
I learned that there were many different types of offerings to the Lord: Grain Offerings, Burnt Offerings, Sin Offerings, Guilt Offerings, and Fellowship Offerings.

Hi. I've actually been feeling a lot happier since I've aborted my little, "descision." (I supppose I should've put quotation marks around, "little," too, right? *BigSmile*). I guess the sanity really got to me, huh? *BigSmile*

I was just thinking about how I wrote in a recent entry that maybe getting plastic surgery would help me get over the whole, "Alan," thing, (which is still going on, by the way). I've realized it since I wrote it, although it's not helping my so called, "confidence" in that matter. *Frown*

Anyway, (I was thinking of writing, "back to real life," after that, but what the hell?) I "saw" my Dad today... shudders... thankfully a towel was covering, "that part," but not the rest... shudders again. I'll have that image etched in my memory forever, and I told him that-many times (including a couple of other people-aka-my mom and my sister, who, by the way, didn't seem to think very much of it other than it was gross and annoying that I was talking about it).

Okay, enough of that (to last a lifetime). Let's get to my results for today. Here they are:

* * * * * * *

Pages read: 2 pages

Time read: 9 minutes

Verse(s) read: Exodus 38:4

What I learned:
I learned that Moses set up and consecrated the tabernacle.

Screw what I said in the last two entries. Nobody's perfect, and getting plastic surgery isn't going to make me any better (although it could make life much more interesting). I guess now you could say I've seen the light. Hallelujah.

Pages read: 10 pages

Time read: 35 minutes

Verse(s) read: Exodus 29:38

What I learned:
I learned that God appeared to Moses in a pillar of cloud.

Okay, so last night I made a list of pros and cons of my little "decision," but I'm still not totally sure. It would, in the words of Alan Harper, be, "the worst form of hypocracy," because I always complain about anything that's not natural, and this is sure as hell not natural.

Anyway, I was also thinking of names today, like maybe Ethan or Michael or Bailey (that was my first choice-hey, it rhymes! :). I like Ethan the best. But I'm still not sure....

* * * * * * *

Time read: 7 minutes

Pages read: 2 pages

Verse(s) read: Exodus 28:27

What I learned:
I learned that Moses consecrated Aaron and his sons to be God's priests.
