Windows Into My Life
A new look at Cy and life on the Nemesis, for the Character Sketch Challenge (1st Place!)

Avg Rating: (2)
Because these are responses to different prompts, there's no real story arc linking all chapters together (other than the obvious setting and characters). This is more a window into different times in Cy's life, how he and the others act on board the spaceship Nemesis when they're not in imminent danger of being blown out of the sky. Some will be written in third person, some in first, depending on what seems to fit the prompt the best. Most will be set on the Nemesis, although some will skip back into Cy's life before the events that saw him end up as captain of that ship Wink If it seems a little rough and ready, bear in mind that I have to answer a new prompt every day and don't have time to edit and re-edit every line in an entry for weeks before posting Wink

The chapter titles are taken from the prompt titles, for anyone who might be wondering Wink Since I don't know how the prompts are going to fall, and since this is more about character development than writing a complete story, I can't give much more information than that and, of course, the basics:

I walked up to the large, impressive looking doors, put my hand on the handle, and hesitated. I'd never been to this part of the Nemesis before, or at least, never through the doors themselves. A new sign above them bore the words MEMORIAL H... [More]
