And thank you for sticking up for your friends! I think we should all be working on getting along with everyone - excepting allowing for physical hurting another, of course.
Although I loved the series, I'm not really sure I would like to live so far from everyone. It would get lonely, at least to me. But they did seem to meet with others fairly often, so I think it would be fine.
I couldn't agree with you more on the walking through the trees and climbing mountains. The world was so much simpler before.I would miss the internet, and the fact that there would be no WDC for me to go to. I believe that would sadden me more than anything else. Great entry.
Life often seems better in those times the way it was written. My fourth grade teacher read us the books during quiet-time after lunch but didn't get to the last book before the end of school. (Clever way to get us to read over the summer )
