Best biblical personal examples possibly supporting eternal security

1. The life of king Saul anointed as king who was rejected from his post and died because of sin and according to some accounts took his wwn life but was told he wold be with Samuel in paradise.
2. Peter- Outright denied the Lord but was restored (He however was more of a rejection than a falling away) He exemples perhaps fits better many later church members who denied their Lord during persecution but if they were true their sin could have been forgivin but the penalty remain
3. David- the previous leads into this David’s bout with Bethsheba was surely a slide into sin and a very dangerous place as David himself recognized.

Personal examples against eternal security
1. The life of Balaam the prophet who dabbled in sorcery. We know he was a true prophet because the scripture tells us such but we also know of his wickedness as we are told that as well
2. The Life of Judas Iscariot- many might argue Judas was always a bad egg for he would be described later in ministry as a thief but there is no proof, he started out this way.
3. Fall of Satan – While Satan is not human like Adam he started without sin and ohough chosen before the world as a Herald of the mighty God became his chief opponent
4. The fall of King Solomon- We know God had promised not to remove him as king and we are not told of his eternal destination, but we do know he fell from his close relationship with God.

Based on these examples security is arguable but far from as ironclad as many Christians would deem. It makes sense that examples of redemption are greater than destruction because God is not willing that any should perish and either side would agree the main thrust of scripture is our hope in Jesus Christ.
