This is the oldest item in my port, ladies and gentleman, and it's something that I plan to resurrect as my blog. It began as a "soap opera" story about why I got the name Quaddy, but I am now turning it into my blog to keep everyone updated, as I know they do. It's now just my ramblings and thoughts.
Happy WDC birthday!!! Eight years? Fantastic! Happy real life birthday next week, too. And I would pick Jack Bauer to take Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee -- Jack's a better out-of-the-box thinker
I'm sorry to hear about this lost friendship. Been there, done that - too many times. The comfort I can offer through similar experience is that you are right: She seems extremely self centered, and people will eventually see through that. Another thing is that she's the one asking people to take sides. They might blow that off now, but they won't forget it when it really counts.
Trust me, you can't be friend with somebody who is extremely self centered. In reality, nobody can be friends with them. Friendship is a two way street and if she can't step back and allow others their day in the sun, she'll wind out standing in it all alone.
I keep forgetting I have this thing despite the almost daily reminders that it exists. I suppose I don't have much to really say, when push comes to shove. I got a promotion and I'm in the process of learning how to be a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks. I've done two shadow shifts, which means I run the store while there's another shift supervisor there to keep an eye on me. I don't really need him, but it's helpful just in case I come across a situation where I dunno what to do.
Also, NaNo is kicking my ass. Why? Training at work is taking precedence. I have 40 hours this week, which is more than anyone except the Store Manager. It's ridiculous. I was at the store from 10am to 11:45pm yesterday! So NaNo...I'm behind. But I should be able to catch up Thursday. Hopefully.

So I went to an early Halloween party today and mostly just sat around and talked. My favorite kind of party, actually, 'cause they're chill and cool and stuff. Had a long conversation with two of my girlfriends--both of whom are older and wiser and much more experiences than I--about relationships and dating and whatnot. The conclusion of this conversation is that I probably won't date any time soon unless I lower my standards because...wait for it...boys are stupid.
I adore the random read feature. This is amazing. I've reviewed, like 10 things today because of it and discovered a wonderful new author whose stuff I *adore*.
I love W.com!
J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK!
Woohoo, Dolphins. Somehow, Henne has become something of an actual quarterback. I would argue, however, that having uniforms the color of the cones might be detrimental to the quarterback in the future.
Why do men suck? Basically, I tell this guy straight up that if he asked me out I'd say yes and he's all clueless. If he doesn't like me, he can just tell me and we'll be cool. But GOD!
Was awesome! Lunch with my friends, dinner with the fam, and dinner again with more friends on Wednesday. Trying to get the boy to come. Well, he's not quite the boy yet. Because he's a doofus who likes me, but is too scared to do anything about it.
I got an amazing new tattoo today! Sure, it kinda stung...but I got it in a strategic place for not hurting, so I was good. It's a Hermes tattoo, since Hermes is my favorite Greek god--hell, my favorite god ever--and I felt I needed to get one for him. Most of my tattoos (hell, all, really) will have spiritual connotations.
So, according to my customers (whom we polled all night), Jack Bauer would take Chuck Norris in a fight. Our customers voted 20-13 in favor of Mr. Bauer, thinking (no doubt) that the awesome anti-terrorism agent would simply hear chatter linking him to a fight with Chuck Norris and then eliminate Mr. Norris as he traveled, possibly on a plane just to make sure that as much collateral damage as possible is done. We have decided that Mr. Bauer will take on Kung Fu legend Bruce Lee in a Championship Battle (both men having 'defeated' Chuck Norris) this Sunday, the next time the three of us work together.
Also, it is my 8th W.com Birthday today! And my 22nd real life birthday a week from Monday!
House was the only thing I watched this weekend that wasn't a disappointment. Both of my football teams lost...to a different Manning brother. This...sucks. Why can't I have a week when the Sports Gods smile upon me?
