My fantasy novel in the works, about a boy coming of age torn between good and evil

Premise: When Rugo comes of age, his world is turned upside down when a mysterious stranger kills his father at the celebration of his special day. He leaves on a journey to avenge his father's death with his closest friends, Cerine and Landon. Entering a mysterious new land ridden with magic and unknown secrets, he finds out a dark family secret that he never knew possible. His final conflict involves knowing what do to about his new-found truth, and how he can still avenge his father.
