I am no stranger to these parts. I have always lived here. In fact I have lived here since I was born. This is a strange way to keep a diary, in the dark, in the cellar, by candle light. Then again seeing as I have no choice how else am I supposed to keep my thoughts, secrets and memories. I will not let this get in my way this time but what about the day after tomorrow.
12.09.12

Two children are on the run, escaping the malice of their uncle. They have come to Beacon Hills, a town that is touched by the Flood each year. They find themselves in Sanctuary a place by the Great River, where a small group of street children hides out. Each found the place by pure luck, it is kept going by Espa Norva a strange boy that has not been seen by any of the current residents except one.

But a greater threat loams over all their lives. Worse than anything they have seen before. It will consume the world's freedom, off their very souls, this thing with a forgotten past, with a power that will destroy everything...
