My journals officially began in January of 1969. This is the point where my Blog entries will begin. "Fire" had just been discoverd right about this time. Book One was written entirely in the back of a school bus going to and from school. Entries were not daily, but whenever the mood struck me. Looking back after reading some of this stuff, they are not really journal books, but more "sketch books".

Well that is one way to look at the Three Stoogies in fur lined briefs with sword straps. I just scared myself with the mental image.

Oh, I'll bet the story's coming - just as soon as it forms itself in Gen's fertile imagination. Kind of like I'm betting he formed "JB" and the girl, in the first place.

Ah, thanks for the info, I hadn't thought of that stuff, but it makes sense. Yes, I agree some things should be left to the imagination - for readers. But someone goes so far to show something like that, I would think you guys would have been begging for the story. Anyway, nice to see you back 'round here. Good story.

I like the straightforward telling of it, and I especially enjoyed her last quip. She sounds like a smart lady, one who surprised you with her answer.

Well, Erik, I'm glad she didn't. It's nice to leave some things to the imagination.

To have those bullet holes where they were and in the formation that they were, leads me to believe she recieved them from a trained shootist. I figure she was running away and the shootist was shooting to kill. The holes were on the left side of her back. VERY close to her heart. At first I thought they were .38 caliber holes. After thinking about it, I believe they were 9mm, or even .223 caliber. Those calibers, as well as .22 caliber, have a great tendency to "deflect" off the bones. I believe the scars she had were from a surgeon removing the bullets that had ricocheted alongside her bones on the inside of her body.

Sounds like a show, not a story. At least from the being shot point of view. Too bad she didn't feel inclined to tell you how all that stuff came about.

Spouses always know how to put things into perspective when no one else, or at the least very few others, can.
