Here, I stand naked, for all the world to see with nothing to hide.
Beware.
Oooo! That sounds a bit creepy, doesn't it?
Actually, it sounds kind of stupid. I would never stand here naked in the flesh... I meant naked in the sense of not hiding my true self, for all to see. Forget it. Ignore me.
I lost my Mom, stubborn too, last year Feb. 23. I feel your pain but like you I am so glad Mom didn't suffer long. She had Ovarian cancer and she, like your Dad, had one treatment and then she left this world. Seven days in the hospital then seven days at home and then she left. I held her and promised her I would try to be the woman she always wanted me to be. We were so different. She was quiet, shy, and a wonderful housekeeper. I am loud, never meet a stranger, and I leave nests of books, writing, and art where ever I'm sitting. Maybe they've met in the great beyond and talking about us wasting time on that computer.
I'm orginally from Detroit. I went to Redford high school. Left the day I graduated and never went back. Moved south where it's suppose to be warm. We had 3 snow days this year.
Hey, Becks, if you started swimming now, I don't think you'd make it by May 1st, sweetie!!! Wish you could, though!!!
Michelle, aw gosh darnit! I was hoping you had signed up since you're so darn close! It's through the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I have a membership, but you don't need one to attend, though the cost is more. I think they are sold out though. It's at the Lexington on Creyts in Lansing all day. I paid an early bird member price of $150 (my birthday present!).
Aw, thanks, Becks! It sure is nice to have her to focus on, though she lives just over an hour away, so it's weekends only I'll get to see her for now. I appreciate your sweet comment! Take care!
