I was born in Zimbabwe in 1965, and moved to Greece on 08 August, 2003 with a husband and four dogs. I lived in a traditional Greek village called Melissohori until November 20, 2006, when we moved to Izmir in Turkey. This, my first blog, features my thoughts and life during that time - a kind of personal diary.

I stumbled across this website and your posted comment. I am a published author currently working on my second book on the topic of murder. However, my reason for searching into the mind of a "Murderer" or as stated a "Serial Killer," is due to the fact my own father was a "Serial Killer." So many are intreged as they sit in front of their T.V taking a moment to get into the mind of a "Serial Killer." However, what they don't know is the affect it has on the families. Such as myself who actually witness my own father committ these act on another human at a young age. Even though my father was a "Serial Killer." who finally was caught and sent to prison for life. He left behind a memory that was a life time sentence for me. After looking into the eyes of a mass murderer you begin to see the topic a little different. Right off the bat you can tell the differene between a normal life led by someone on a daily bases and someone who has committed these types of acts. In my own opiton I do not see these people as others do. What led him to do the these crul acts could have been from a child-hood of abuse. However, for me personally I see these type of people as just sick. They have mentel issues. After interviewing my own father twenty-three years later. Confronting him face to face. I embraced it, confronted it, and over came it. I know he was sick. Mentel issues run in my family. My father was not the only one who took lives. Who stood over them as they pleaded for their lives. Who begged to be speared. There had been his sister my aunt. My great grand parents who took lives too. Thank God I came out normal. There was a family history of mentel illness. My father murdered someone over a "Cow Boy Hat." He murdered someone over one offensive word. Shot the man in the head. In another case he shot someone in the head over a radio. The ironic part of that is in a news paper clipping he dressed up as a woman road on motercyle and drove right up to a cop smiling at him while they were looking for him. Now that in my mind is just sick. He murdered and murdered having no regret. Life meant nothing to him. There are so many other things he did which I will save for my book. I am in the fourth chapter now. For me it is self healing. I am happy to share it with the world because I have overcome him. That is how I was able to live again. To let go of him altogether. To break it down in simple words I know anyone who committs these types of acts are not normal, nor will they ever be. No hospital can fix or heal them. Not even life behind bars helps. If my dad was ever to get out of jail I know he would do the same thing agian. Every time the system let him out two months later he committed murder, but back then they did not put him away rather they gave him four years at a time for murder until they finally realized he was never going to change. I hope this comment can help lighten the issue. From one surviver to another I walked my whole life struggling with the actions my father committed. Trying to understand it was a struggle in its self which at times was very difficult for me. I kept digging and digging to find the right answer. I felt the need to know, to understand. This person was my father. You can imagine what it was like when introductions presented its self with new faces in my life. The topic always came up. "What of your father? There was no getting around that question and changing the subject only prolonged the question from re-surfacing. I always kept it simple and left it at "My father is a convicted murderer serving a life sentence. As you can imagine I did not have many friends. The topic in its self ruined my relationships right off the bat. I finally told my only friend I had after ten years. Knowing after a ten year friendship it would not make a difference anymore. I did not want anyone to think I was the same as my father. Well that is all I will comment on I wanted you to know that the life after the fact is a struggle in it's self when it hits close to home. Hope this has helped some.
