L'aura del campo 'é a lua, é a lua, na quintana dos mortos' ♣ Federico García Lorca ♣ L'aura del campo. A breeze in the meadow. So it began the last day of Spring, 2005; on the 16th day of the month of Light of the year 162. This is a supplement to my daily journal written to a friend, my muse; notes I do not share. Here I will share what the breeze has whispered to me. PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS! Note the white-washed trees: http://www.fotopaises.com/imagenes/2008/1/4/1199403293.jpg Thou Yes, Catherine, I wrote a poem [166.215] based on the phrase "I forgot that Lucifer was an angel too." as part of a final couplet of alexandrines: How odd that when I think of this I think of you. I'd forgot that Lucifer was an angel too. It just needs editing that I am too tired to do tonight. Me and Mine I spent ₡ 1.810 for a café con leche and a dessert, tres leches, today at the Café Delicias in Grecia. It was worth it. The tres leches was like a sponge. Everytime a cut a piece, the milk oozed out. Magnificent. Today seems to have a milk theme. I just bought a liter of milk and added mora for some mora en leche. The bus cost ₡ 770, which is around $1.25; it took an hour to go the 45 km. Once out of SJ and past Alajuela, the countryside was beautiful. Grecia has an elevation of 1.000 m, so it has a very pleasant climate. I was surprised though... I thought it was smaller. It felt more like a real city, complete with a very busy downtown and a vibrant market. It would not be a hard place to live. It has a population of around 16,000. Costa Rica |
