[Introduction]           This is about a place in Anywhere, USA called The Reading Room. In this room, people gather to share their original stories and poems that have brought them inspiration and entertainment.

Each person will first introduce himself/herself. They will tell others what makes them want to write and what urged them to write the piece they will share at the present session. The Reading Room will meet every Saturday at 3:00 for one hour.{For Creativity purposes and pretend} I would like as many people as possible to participate. This is not a group. People add chapters just like any other campfire. I want the story to look like a group who gets together to talk about their writings and what made them create them.

The characters names can originate from the participants. The names can either be real or imaginary. The poems/stories can either be copy/pasted into the entry or reinacted. It's the participants choice.
A Writer:Survivor    Welcome to the Reading Room. My name is Rene, and I have chosen to start this campfire to get to know other writers such as yourselves. I am a stay-at-home mother of a five year old boy. I write mostly poetry. However, I also write some short stories. I would love to get to know you all and listen to what you have written or what you are in the process of writing. I hope that this campfire is a tremendous success and it will accumulate numerous members.

Mark C Bradley    It is a pleasure to be a part of the Reading Room. My name is Mark Bradley, and I'm a published poet. My book, "A Parody of Myself" came out in 2003, and I am looking to finish my second in the next year or so. I also write stories as well as a fantasy novel.

Crys-revising    Hi, Shadow and Mark! I'm Crystalee, a college student majoring in English. Like Shadow, I write mainly poetry. I usually find myself either becoming very long-winded in my short stories and therefore never finish writing them, or I come up with a great idea but never have the patience to work it into a short story . . . I'm currently actively trying to get my poetry published.

Dreams - Anon, who are you?    Hello everyone, thanks for the invite. I brought sweets *waves packet*. I am Dreams. Nice to see you all. I write a bit of everything but I am probably best at writing researched articles (all those years of studying). I am a British Muslim, and I enjoy writing stories that get people thinking. I use my varied background to offer something different to my stories.

A Writer:Survivor    It is very nice to see this room filling up nicely. To tell you a little more about me, I started writing when I was in fourth grade. That was the first year we started studying English. Sr. Louis was the teacher, and she nurtured my budding interest. She always told all of her students to write about what they knew. That is what I did.My first poem was about the puppy we just got. Her name was Sandy. She was a cockapoo. What was the catalist for everyone else's writing?

Mark C Bradley    I wrote my very first story when I was about 10 years old for a Writing Workshop class in school. I've always had an active imagination. It wasn't until my junior year of high school, however, when I realized my ability. I took a Creative Writing class, originally just as an elective. But I found that I loved writing, and it came naturally to me. Even my teacher saw that I had a talent for it. Ever since, I have made writing, especially poetry, my passion.

Crys-revising    I can't even remember my first experience with writing . . . I was reading at a very young age, and by 1st grade I was already writing very elaborate stories for my based on picture prompts. I was lucky to have a number of teachers who nurtured my love for poetry, first by forcing me to read and memorize it and then encouraging me when I started writing my own.

Dreams - Anon, who are you?    I always loved English class when I was younger. High school gave me less opportunity to be creative - but I got good at writing essays, and that came in handy when I did my degree in psychology. I never thought of writing as a hobby until I stumbled upon this site. Now I love to write essays and stories and try the odd poem too.

BreeSays Hi    Hi everyone, I'm so happy to be invited. Well my name is Gwen and I'm a junior in high school. I brought drinks.*sit two twelve packs on the table*And they they're cold! Smile Let's see I'm been interested in writing fantasy stories since I was little. I would read anything I could get my hands on but I still was mad at the ending and would change the ending so it would please me. Around seventh grade though I started writing my first actual story. My favorite place to write would be in school.

Farhana    I'm Farhana *pauses and helps herself to coke* I write a bit of everything. I tried writing a novel once, *wonders if she'll ever finish that* but lets just say I won't be making a career out of it lol!

School definetly helped me creatively...I got a prize when I was about 9, for a short story and an article I wrote was "published" in the school mag. when I was 16.

Tell me, how do friends and family see your writing?

Angela's Niece needs Praye    Hi everyone my name is Angela. First off I am so proud to be a part of the group. I write as much as I can so I can one day maybe be a published writer and tell my story to everyone and one day maybe hewlp others not feel so alone in their struggles with disabilities and illness and just harsh everyday life that comes with being disabled. yes it is a hard life but it is not a bad life when you are suported. I see many here in the group that have been very supportivwe of me in the past.

Kristy Mouse    Hi everyone. My name is Kim. I am glad to be a part of this group as well, and hope to be able to participate often. I try to write every day but we all know how RL can get in the way of such things. I have had one poem published a couple of times, but nothing really major. I hope that this group will encourage me to write more, and give me the inspiration to go for my dreams of being published. Thank You.

A Writer:Survivor    I am really glad that this group is starting to take flight. If anyone is looking for writing prompts, they are located in my port. Like most of you, I try to write every day.

What projects are you all working on? One of the things that I want to do is try to see if I can make it through NaNoWriMo. This will be my first time. Has anyone entered that? IF so, what is it like? What am I in for? Another question I have is what inspires you to write?

Dreams - Anon, who are you?    I'll answer the questions first. I rarely share work with family and friends. I am too shy to I guess. My faith inspires me to write. I feel things deeply and I am moved to write about the things that are happening in the world around us. I am not working on anything at the moment. I wrote 11 new items in January for contests, but I am not a real writer lol. I don't write everyday! Like you all I would love to get some of my work published. But how does one select the right piece to put forward?

BreeSays Hi    I've never really had the same intense ideas that I got at school at home. Bigsmile Tenth grade year rolled around and one of my teacher actually enter my story in a contest and it won. Though I was mad at the teacher because he did it without my permission yet proud at the same time. Right now I'm in a stump and trying to figure out how to continue.

Crystalwizard    I'm new here so I'll sayhi and thanks for letting me into the group. At the top of this campire it askes what makes each of us want to write...I'm not sure how to answer that. I write because I have to. It comes out whether I like it or not and if I don't put it down on paper...it doesn't stop swirling around in my head.

Crys-revising    I have written anything in too long, but hopefully now that'll change since Convention is over! I have a few unfinished poems just hanging around and I really should go back and work on them. I'm slacking in reading too. After college, I just crashed. lol I haven't read a book for pleasure all summer. Frown

Mr. Raxter    I've actually been working on a fantasy novel for about 7 years now, streching back into high school but now three years later i can actually say that it's half done and i have artists text people composers and a oublisher willing to look at it once it's done!! Yay for me. Hopefully it will all work out, i think it will.
