| [Introduction]
A collaboration between myself and Lexi Ashen Married John Ashen |
rocks patiently in the winter wind, the paint chipped and faded like memories shared on its seat. Though the swing remains vacant, I remember our story as I watch the scenes replay within each falling snowflake. our legs barely touched the ground and we'd swing until we grew dizzy as time floated by with every swing. The sunlight captured each movement; it was then that I noticed hints of green resting in your eyes. Within your gaze, I felt at home. And warmth poured into me, wiping out the wintry chills of loneliness that occupy the house after years of a vacant heart. In the simple times, I felt the happiest; we strolled along the seashore's sand as you tenderly took hold of my hand. but didn't damped our spirit as we stopped for an embrace under the summer sun. Underneath the golden rays, you leaned in to whisper those long awaited words; my heartbeat took a curve. Time froze and drowned out all sound as I awaited your reply, even though I could read it on your smile and in your eyes. Unspoken words were no longer secrets; each sentence was written upon my face. You knew how I'd answer your questions when I painted kisses across your lips. yet the pendulum, like the swing, kept its motion and years dwindled away since those moments and now the questions return as I reflect upon your departure © Copyright 2007 Mark C Bradley, Lexi Ashen Married John Ashen, (known as GROUP).
