Two warriors destined to fight one another.
[Introduction] Dalan and his rival Lornay were fierce warriors who served their King Ramaza in the land of Gornada faithfully, but they had a hatred for each other that burned anyone who risked getting in the way of it. They were always in competition with each other over the simplest of things. Dalan was Captain of the King’s guard, while Lornay a woman which in these times was mostly uncommon was Captain of the Queen’s guard.

The royal family wanted to go out for a day, and was to be accompanied by the royal guards. Gornada was at war with a neighboring Kingdom, so all was not well within the land of Gornada, but that did not deter the royal family from having their fun against the wishes of both Captains they set out for a day of family fun. Both Captains of the guard were not paying attention to what was going on, they were in heated conversations that lead to swords being drawn. As the fight broke out between them no-one saw the assassin’s that used bows to take the lives of the royal princes, and princesses of Gornada until it was too late.

Dalan and Lornay were brought before the royal court in which the King and Queen both preceded. Calling forth throughout all the land every sorcerer, magician, warlock, and any other being that had magical casting powers, the King ordered that they work together to come up with a suitable spell to use on the two former captains of the guard. Having decided on a fitting punishment a particular nasty wizard stepped forth telling the King what was come up with, this news brought a smile to the face of the King after being told all that went along with this spell.

The King rose as did everyone else in the royal court, the King said,” The two of you want to fight so much; I’m going to give you, your very wish. You’ll be sentenced to an eternity of fighting, your bodies will die, and come back reformed where you’ll take up the blade or whatever until one of you kills the other, but it isn’t that easy, you’ll share one heart, so if one of you dies without it being directly from the other, you both die. You’ll have no memory of your previous life.”

With that said, the wizard that spoke before held his arms apart gathering all the power his fellow magic wielders had forming it all in a shining purple energy, then casting the said ball at the two former captains guards. Now this is where you come in. What are the two doing now? How will they meet again?

No need for the regular bio just add it in your first addition.

James woke from the nightmare he had been having about a time long before he was born. This dream was a recurring dream that he had since as long as he could remember. Getting out of bed James began his daily ritual of getting ready for work. James was a NY cop, he had just started on the force 6 months ago, and within that time he had advanced quickly, things just seemed to go quickly for him.

James was a single guy he had tried the while relationship thing, but it never worked out so he just decided to stay single. As James was brushing his teeth looking in the mirror he saw something black flash across the mirror he quickly turned around to see what it was, but saw nothing chalking it up to seeing things he went back to brushing oblivious to the being that was secretly watching him.

James took his shower, and put on his clothes he already had laying out. After getting dressed he stopped in front of the mirror on his door to do a full body inspection. “Damn, James, you are looking good today.” He thought while using a comb to make his shoulder length black hair go in the direction he wanted.

Leaving the apartment he stayed in at the Regent Hotel, he almost walked on his neighbors bog “Benzie.” “Stupid name for a dog that was ugly as homemade sin” James thought while saying his apologies for almost stepping on the small shiatsu. Almost stepping on the dog made James drop all he had in his hands so he had to bend over to pick them up, and through his legs he saw that his neighbor the one with the ugly dog had stopped to look at his butt while he was bending over.

James was not sure if the woman could see that he saw her or not, plus she didn’t look all that bad for a woman of forty-five, she still had a nice body that was curvy, and well ample breasts, one of James favorite loves of women.

Picking up his wallet and badge, James left his neighbor who had stayed long enough to watch his butt then quickly leave the minute he stood up to get into his car, a 2008 Lexus coup, one of the first things he bought with his new promotion money. When he started his car up, and was about to turn out of the spot he had been sitting in, someone began to honk their horn at him yelling incoherent words James couldn’t hear due to having the window up. Letting the window down James heard all that the apparent female driver was saying, foul things came pouring from her mouth, things to do with his mother, and where he could go, also things with do with his butt.

Getting out of his car having heard enough of the woman’s insults, He walked towards her car purposely then having her lower her own window more so that he could see her, a shock of recognition flowed through James like a dam
Sarah has having a bad day and it wasn't even the afternoon yet!

The night before had been a series of tosses and turns as she slept in her empty bed yet again. At least she knew that her former no-good-sleazy-lying-cheating fiancée wasn't coming home this time. But instead of relieving her or leaving her numb, it had only intensified her dark nightmares. And the the morning continued to get worse. Her alarm hadn't gone off, the super had shut off the hot water without letting anyone know which to the entire building screaming at the top of their lungs, two of her employees are out with the flu, and now she was late opening the store because some jackass in an expensive car had no regard for his fellow drivers. Idiot!

The stream of foul words left her mouth with no control. She was pissed, more than she had been in her entire life, and the extremely attractive man swaggering over to her window was fueling her fury. But when he stopped and she looked into his eyes, she felt herself transported to a place long from the crowded streets where they both stood.

Something inside her said she knew him. Her body and being recognized what she knew for a fact that she'd never met him in her life. The silence stretched between before she finally broke it by screaming, "You moron!"
"Moron? Me?" James thought to himself as he watched the woman who was beautiful with her grey/green yellow that seemed to glow, but also looked so familar, she hve dark brown hair that fell to her shoulders, and yes he heven had time to take in the look of her figure as she sat in the car spewing foul things from her mouth.

He was momentarily silent as she unloaded words he hadn't known were real while taking in her female form, loving the way her chest move with every gesture. James had not noticed that she stopped speaking, so focused was he on the moving of her full breasts.

"You're an asshole" The woman stated, while opening her car door just missing James with the corner.

"Umm...I'm sorry I was distracted." James smiled wolfishly. "You know for someone so pretty you sure can be a real bitch."

James didn't give her time to respond he simply left her standing there with her mouth open like she'd never been called that before. Though something about her reminded him of something, and for some reason bothering her seemed to fill him with such delight he actually smiled as he drove past her.
Sarah was still muttering under her breath all the foul things she wanted to tell that jackass when she opened the backdoor of her catering building. The two non-sick employees flanked her on either side as she struggled to get the key to turn although at some point they'd taken a step back to give her a wide berth. In the back of her mind Sarah felt bad. Not only were they her employees, they were her friends. She'd never treated them like this before.

Then, again, she'd never experienced a day like this since Hell Week back when she was training in the military.

"Did you have a bad night, sugar plum?" Coco asked as he set the coffee maker to make a fresh pot. Done with his good deed for the day, the small Southern gentleman walked over to the industrial kitchen counter and frowned at his boss's troubled expression. His Sarah never looked like that. Not even when a bridemaid had gone berserk and set fire to the wedding cake that had taken them two days to make. Somethng was definitely wrong. "Did somebody die?"

A plate of leftover hors d'oeuvres slid in front of Sarah as she blindly stared off into space. Her assistant and occasional accountant folded her near six foot frame onto a stoll. Lily ran a hand through her unruly blonde mop of locks as she absently patted Sarah on the shoulder. "Did the doctor give you the test results back?" Lily asked, concern lowering her voice.

Sarah looked from one friend to the other before the words spilled out of her mouth like verbal dieria. "I threw Aaron out last night. That no-good-sleazy-lying-cheating fiancée..."

The playback of everything that happened in the past twenty four hours spewwed from Sarah in a frenzy. And when she was finally done, her friends stood staring at her with their mouth hanging open. She felt uncomfortable under their gaze. "What?!?"

Lily and Coco gave each other a long look before shouting in unison, "Hallelujah!"
James, still on a high from messing with that woman sat behind his desk thinking the look of that woman, it was something about her that just reminded him of something that he could not for his finger on for the life of him. She took up most of his thoughts, and then tired of thinking about her he decided he would treat his best-friend Corey to lunch. Corey he had known since they were kids they were always in competition with one another.

“Yo, Core, you, me, lunch? My treat? I want to tell you about this woman I was messing with this morning.” James said, as he poked his head in Corey’s office catching him off guard making him drop the paper plane he had in his hand.

“Uh…yeah, Hahaha,” Corey stammered in response to the offer James purposed.

James drove to a new restaurant he had never been to before. He always liked to try new things, and go to new places. Being in one place or doing one thing for too long always made him restful. Pulling up in the parking lot, he thought he recognized a car there, but pushed it out of his mind, trying to stay focused on his stomach. Corey made idle conversation that James only half listened to, but every now and then he would respond with “Yeah, ha-ha, damn, oh, for real?”

“I heard about this place before, I think it came out a few years ago, it’s suppose to have the best Chicken Marsala anywhere.” Corey stated, excited.

“Hmm…I feel like testing this place to see if that’s true. Are you game Core?” James asked, as he parked expertly.

When they entered the restaurant they saw all sorts of people sitting at tables it was all very elegant looking. James looked around to see if there were any good looking women around, but the only one’s he saw looked as if they needed to be put out to pasture especially the lady on the left of him that seemed to be staring at his crotch. He smiled at her weakly then moved on toward a table a little closer to the kitchen.

Their waiter came to the table with a smile on her lips, and as James ordered he took the time to check out her breasts, which were on the small side, but he bet she made up for that best; on her knees, and then had that mental image in his head as he smiled at her. While he was doing that, Corey had ordered, she looked at James again thinking he was going to add something else, but James only responded with a wink. She left to get their ordered started. James leaned over to watch the waitress walk away. Taking in the swaying movement of her ass as she made her way into the restaurant kitchen to put in their order.

“She was very cute; I think I’ll try to get her number when she comes back with our order.” Corey announced, so low only James could hear.

“Corey, listen the only thing you could get from that girl is laughed at, plus don’t you have a girlfriend? No, if anyone will get her number it’ll be me, and I’ll have her on her knees before she knows what’s happening.” James stated, with a matter of fact tone.

“Well, things between Helena, and I aren’t working, so I might as well have a little fun.” Corey replied defensively.

“Today, I met this woman who was totally hot, but there was something about her that made me want her in a way I never knew. She challenged me on some level of my subconscious, I really can’t explain it.” James said, ignoring Corey’s last statement.

“So, did you get her number?”

“No, I checked out her rack, then told her she was a bitch, and drove off.”

James and Corey sat waiting for about half an hour, waiting for this “Great chicken Marsala” James had gotten tired of waiting, and went to complain to the concierge. When he saw her, she was wearing her hair the same way, and it looked better then he remembered, but something about her struck a cord with him, and made him want to give her a hard time. Looking at her here he questioned wither or not she followed him.

“So, we meet again,” James, said, with a sly smile.

Turning around slowly she regarded him with a shocked expression.
“So, we meet again.”

The pull of the eerily familiar made Sarah stop in her tracks as the smooth, deep voice from behind her made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. She knew that particular sound of male amusement all too well. Slowly, she turned to the bane of her morning, her expression of shock turning professional as she tried to suppress a snarl.

"In all the gin joints, in all the world, you happen to stumble into mine."

“So, this is your place?" His wolfish grin turned an extra shade of sly as he surveyed the restaurant. "Nice digs."

Sarah folded her hands neatly in front of her, clenching her fingers to keep from strangling his neck. She raised a dark brow and turned to the man next to him. "Is there something I can do for you gentlemen?"

"Corey Johnson, ma'am." The man offered his hand with a charming smile. He looked between her and his companion. "Do you two know each other?"

"You could say that."

At the same instant the jackass said, "Be careful or she might claw you in half like she did me this morning."

Corey coughed to cover his sudden bark of laughter. "Ah, James..."

Sarah turned her green glare back to her enemy. "And the asshole has a name. What are you doing in my place Detective James?"

James looked down at her slightly shocked. "How did you know I was a detective?"

"The way you walk and hold yourself, the specially made suit to hide the budge of your holstered weapon and the fact that most citizens don't wear small caliber guns around their ankles."

Sarah placed her delicate fists on her hips, the result molding her clothes to the curvy shape of her body of which the men in front of her gazed at in great appreciation, but completely escaped her attention. "I hate to be impolite gentlemen, but I have a business to attend to. What seems to be the problem?"

"The problem is," James said, stepping into her personal space, forcing her to look up into his golden eyes. "We ordered lunch over thirty minutes ago, but have yet received our food."

Sarah smirked. "Ah, yes. You were giving Danielle what I can only assume is your customary once over. She took exception to the treatment and placed your order at the end of the stack."

Corey looked affronted. "Do you always let your employees treat good paying customers like this?"

"Danielle is an excellent waitress and it beats worrying about health fines for her spitting in your pasta." Sarah turned her head slowly, a strand of her dark hair falling over her eye, not losing a hint of the dark humor alighting her expression. "How can I fault her for making the correct assumption she was serving pigs?"

"Listen, sweetheart-"

"I'm not your sweetheart."

"I can tell that you're a feisty bit of goods, so why don't you take that sweet ass of yours back to the kitchen and get us our food."

"Why you no-good-sleazy-"

Corey stepped between them before Sarah could smack that smug look off of James's face. At the same moment, Coco came out from the back with a black cordless phone in his manicured hand. He looked at the situation in front of him with a curious frown but chose to keep quiet. He knew his Sarah could handle herself.

"Umm, boss? There's a call from the police commissioner about the Policemen's Ball on Friday. He said its urgent."

Sarah could feel her lip twitch in anger and forced herself to step back and take a deep breath. Just because she felt mad enough to spit nails didn't mean she could act unprofessionally. She took the black phone from Coco, placing her palm over the speaker, and motioned to Corey with a nod. "Will you take Detective Johnson to the back and get his food, Coco? The gentlemen were just leaving and need their orders."

"Of course," Coco drawled, linking his arm with a very nervous looking detective and escorting him through the kitchen entrance doors.

"You're catering the Policemen's Ball?" James asked after Sarah hung up the phone. She felt his eyes burning into the back of her head as she smoothed over details with his boss. It took a great of energy to try not to squirm under his examination.

Sarah busied herself in papers. "Yes. We received the job a few months ago."

He leaned close to her, the subtle scent of his cologne filling her senses. "We both know you're a bitch, but I bet you're a wild thing in bed."

The comment was meant to disconcert her, but Sarah actually found it amusing. Sure, it had been a while since she had gotten any play, but that didn't mean she could have a little fun at the guy's expense. With great deliberation, she looked him over from head to toe, lingering at the spot just below his belt before slowly traveling back up his muscled chest to golden eyes that had grown dark with desire at her appraisal. Her pulse began to race as her body filled with heat. He was lust, sin and trouble rolled up into one neat, sexy package.

It was a shame he had to be such a bastard.

Sarah leaned in closer, subtly wetting her wine colored lips with the tip of her tongue, until they were only a breath apart, close enough for a kiss. Her voice dropped low and seductive, quiet enough so only they could hear. "I'm fantastic in bed. The things I can do leave men weeping, begging me for more." She pulled away an inch, inwardly enjoying the speechless look on his chiseled face. "And there is no way in hell you will ever find out."

Sarah turned and walked away with the last word, the clicking of her high heels on the imported marble flooring barely tuning out the roar of his laughter. She hated it. She hated him. So why was she looking forward to their next battle?
