[Introduction] The plot here is rather simple. The story takes place around a certain time in American History. The United States went to war with Mexico over the annexation of Texas as part of the U.S. territory. The war went on till the U.S. won the battle and Texas was now part of the U.S. With its boundaries no different today than it was after the war. The U.S. had troops in Sante Fe at the time and needed to pay the soldiers there for their duty serving in the war. A national transportation company was hired by the govt. to deliver the money across the U.S. to Sante Fe. The trouble that ensued the company were attacks by the locals for crossing private land. One of these encounters happened to be located near the region where I was born and raised. And there's evidence of the quarrels that took place around 1848 near one of the creeks that I would fish in as a youth.
