Jak- The band leader and most adventurous of them all! He wants nothing more than a good time but is fiercely loyal. (Limited Teleportation)
Kara-Compassionate and kind, she acts as the peace keeper and cook of the group (Nature Song)
Demitri-Quiet, in fact he is so quiet he has never said anything out loud since the group can remember (Shadow Walk)
Gwen- Fast and hyperactive, she is always on the move and never seems to tire even in the most strenuous situations (Enhanced Speed)

*Nature Song-The ability to sing to the plants and animals around them and bend them to her will
**Shadow Walk-To move through shadows at inhuman speeds, fades into background while standing in a shadow.
DemitriusRA              Jak awoke slowly, his senses registering one by one. First it was his nose, he smelt the warm meaty savory smell of bacon. He smelt the laundry detergent the group used when they did there laundry, and then the subtle aroma of the flowers that grew outside his window. Next his ears awoke, he heard the sizzling of bacon and the soft humming of Kara as she cooked it. Then he heard the song birds chirping outside, how he loved to hear them sing there melodious salute to absolute freedom. Then his sense of touch came alive, he felt the rough sheets he was laying on, he felt the crisp morning air that emanated from cool breezes passing through the open window. And last but no least he saw, he saw the wall on which so many various trophies and plans had been attached. He could tell the story of every single one, he smiled as memories filled his mind laughter and danger, sometimes at the same time. Jak pushed him self up and sat on the side of his bad brushing his hair slowly back with his fingers. Gwen ran into the room.

Rehtak    "Jak! Thank God you are awake! There is a serious issue!" Gwen nearly screamed in his ear. Jak stood up and moved over to her.
"What? What's the matter?" Gwen looked more disheveled than usual. While she had nice hair, it was typically thrown all around the place by her excited nature. And now it was so much worse. Jak even thought he saw a twig or two in the mess.
"It's horrible! Demitri and Kara have disappeared. I thought maybe they'd just gone for a walk, but I checked all around everywhere! They're gone! What if they were kidnapped! What if they're dead? What if they drowned in a lake? What if a giant eagle swooped down and took them away to feed it's young? We will never find them!" Gwen looked frantically around the room as if they might appear around a corner if she looked long enough.
Jak sighed. This was unusual. At first he thought it might just be Gwen over-reacting again, but no such luck. No one in the group really ever left without notice. With two of them gone and no note or idea of where they could be, Gwen had a right to worry. Something had to be done, and something had to be done soon.

DemitriusRA              Jak ran through the house searching frantically. First he checked the kitchen, where he had last thought Kara to be, he saw nothing but the burnt bacon on the still hot stove. He shoved it into the sink and turned around as steam hissed off the hot pan. He took a step forward and heard an unexpected crunch. He looked down, black streaks radiated from a central point. Jak knelt to examine the soot like substance. He ran his fingers over it, it was gritty and coarse like sand. He smelt it, nothing, no burning odors, no rotten eggs, just the smell of the burnt bacon wafting in the spring air. Gwen ran in almost falling onto Jak.
"I've checked every inch of land within and fifteen mile radius and nothing! No hint, sign, clue, just nothing! Oh Jak what are we going to do!" said Gwen with her usual high energy loquacity.
Jack stood, and said "Well you won't them anywhere that close. They were taken by a force that I have never witnessed, look at these marks."
"Hmmm, I've never seen anything like this. Is it fire? Explosion? Acid?" Gwen listed off.
"I don't know, they appear to be scorch marks but they have no odor"
"No odor? That not normal right? I mean everything smells like something! I remember this one time when I had this sack of forks right? And-"
"Gwen." Jak interrupted. "Now is not the time. We need help, and we need it now"
"Well who are we going to get to help us?" Gwen asked, puzzled.

Rehtak    "Who else? We need the hunters. They are the only ones who can ever find us. And we have no other way to find them. What could have happened?"
"What?! But you know-"
"Yes," Jak's voice was strong. "I know. But what other choice do we-"
"No! This is bullshit! They will kill us. And then Dem and K, since the hunters will know they left the house. I won't let you!" Gwen defensively glared down Jak, daring him to disagree with her. But he didn't.
"I know." His voice was quiet, but grew stronger as he went on. "And that's why they won't turn on us. They'll know we are angry, they wouldn't dare try to fight us when we are so damn motivated. Look, we just need a strong plan."
Gwen nodded slowly. "Okay. Just tell me what to do."

DemitriusRA    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gwen and Jak walked down the rundown back alley. Figures the the hunters would want to me in such a repulsive location, thought Jak to himself. Hunters were always somewhat of a legend, they were always discussed in hushed tones as if the mere mentions of their names would bring their fury down upon you. Hunters were notorious for there tracking and stalking ability and killing at the most opportune moment. Jak stopped as he heard a shuffle at the other end of the alley, he put his hand out to stop Gwen.
"What is it?" Gwen asked.
"They are here." Jak replied quietly.
"No one is even here!"
Just as she said that three shadowy figures appeared, two on either side of the alley and one drop down from the top of the weathered building. Gwen gasped as she saw them. The groups walked toward each other, the hunters wore dark ragged clothing and each had dark hairs and a cruel sneer drawn on each of their faces.
"When we got your call, we didn't think you were serious. No one would hire people of our...lack of predictably" leered the foremost hunter.
"This is serious, obviously, or you wouldn't have even entered my plan." Jak responded evenly.
"Lets get something straight; you do things our way. We have the plan, if you have something of value, of course." the lead hunter said taking control.
"Of course, I said I would and so I do." Jak replied, taking a leather wrapped object out of his travel pack.
"So lets see and then we just might have a deal"

Rehtak    Unwrapping the leather, Jak revealed an orb that was faintly pulsing with light. The hunter reached for it greedily, but Jak quickly wrapped it back up and hid it from view.
"Where did you get it? It's such a fine specimen." The hunter leered, a hungry look on his face.
Jak shook his head. "Not what we came here for. Now, do we have a deal of should we leave?"
"Maybe we'll just break you pretty little neck and take it from you, then we could send you in for ransom, eh?"
Gwen shrunk back a bit, but Jak laughed. "If you could, you would have by now. And I suppose it's worth mentioning that there is another one for when you bring them back alive and safe."
The hunter smirked. "Heh, you play a good game. We have a deal. Now, tell us what you know, and we need something of theirs as well."

DemitriusRA    '"I can do you one better," replied Jak as he turned "I'll take you to the spot where it happened."
"Jak! What do you think you're doing!" Hissed Gwen, "That our hideout!"
"Don't worry," he said evenly "I have something special in mind."

They arrived at the hideout and Jak showed the hunters into the kitchen. As the hunters saw the black streaks on the floor they stopped. They took it in for a second, observing and sniffing the air as they started to approach slowly.
"No sound was heard?" asked the head hunter.
"No" Jak said "Not even the sound of anyone entering, or Kara screaming. Lord knows where Demitri has gone off to"
"Hm, this is very unusual. I have only heard one other report of this nature, and the people take were never found."
"That isn't an option" Jak cut in firmly.
"Well we can't help you. All we know is that whoever did this was a part of the uprising movement known as the Tri-Ring"
"The Tri-Ring?" asked Gwen quizzically "I've never heard of them"
"And they'd like to keep it that way" answered the head hunter as he left the room.
"Well thank for nothing" Jak said holding out the payment.
"Keep it. With the trouble you're in, you're going to need a Palantia"
And with that they were out the door and soon gone from sight.
