| [Introduction]
This campfire creative was created with the thought that people should get to better know their characters...by putting them in different situations and "walking" with them on their journeys. In this campfire, you will get to choose weather you will write as your character or as yourself with the character. This should be an excellent exercise for anyone wishing to further develope their characters. This campfire is private, maintained by GloFish Write on! Inspired by:

Maybe it was just my imagination, but the school didn't seem so magical. It was just an ordinary brick building with a lot of windows and a small parking lot next to a large volleyball court. I hoped I wouldn't embarrass myself if I had to play. I was fairly good at sports, but I'd never played volleyball before. I took a deep breath as I stepped up to the front door. It was a huge square, glass panel, nothing fancy, and I gripped the cold handle tightly, feeling the sweat beading on my forehead. I shook it off and pulled the door open before I had a chance to think any more. The inside was full of mixed temperatures. There were cold and hot spots everywhere, with no even temperature anywhere. I stood where I was, quietly taking in my surroundings as I breathed deeply, in and out. Okay, now I was really imagining things. The floor was clearly wood... but there was water underneath it. Yeah, you heard me. It was like the color of the wood had mostly faded, so it was semi-transparent, and I could see a huge pool of almost totally clear, light blue water down below. I looked for the edges of the pool, but there wasn't one. The water continued on underneath the doors and walls of the other rooms. I realized that I could see the support posts for the building through the floor, reaching down deep into the slightly wavy water. There were also miniature steel cylinders, also used as support, that jutted up sleekly through the water and to the bottom of the floor under my feet--and a lot of other places. Suddenly, the head, arms, and upper body of a girl about my age appeared in the water from under one of the rooms to my left. She saw me and smiled slightly, her curly dark blond hair floating like seaweed around her pale face. She looked deep into my eyes, and I looked at hers, dark, vivid blue irises that seemed to penetrate my very soul. "Hey," a female voice said, making me jump. "You must be Jake." Startled, I blinked and looked up quickly, then just as quickly looked back down again, only to see that the girl had disappeared, but I saw the slightest flash of what looked like a sparkly, slightly transparent, dark pink fin. I looked up again. "Yeah, I'm Jake," I said. The girl nodded. She had long, vivid, dark red hair and vivid blue eyes just like the girl I'd seen earlier. I also realized that her face was the same shape, and so were her eyes... odd, I thought. "You have your first class with me," the girl said, taking a piece of paper out of her pocket. It was a schedule. The names of all the people in the classes were typed onto the paper, and she was right. I was one of them. I looked at her. She seemed excited. I guessed they didn't get new people here every day. "The first class is Mystics," she said. "First door on the right," she waved to one of the doors. I nodded, looking from her to the door and back. "Ready?" she asked, a little too excited now. I nodded. "I know it sounds harsh, but you need to learn how to control your powers. And this place may be the best place for you to do just that." My creator said to me with a sad look on his face. "But I already know how to control my powers. So why do I have to go here then?" I ask him, almost pleading. Something I have only done once in my other lifetime. "Because, you need to learn more than just how to control your powers. You also need to know when the time is right to use them, so you don't make any mistakes like last time." "Please...don't remind me." I say as a tear escape's my eye's. "I'm sorry. Sorry I have to keep making you remember that time when you were hurt the most. But I have to remind you, so you don't do anything like that to anyone ever again." "I know." I look up at the sky, remembering my past life. "I still can't believe I had to prophesies my own death just to correct the mistakes I had made." "It was hard for everyone involved, but we were able to bring you back to life again. But let me tell you, It was a very difficult thing to do. And I'm the God of my own mind. So put that into account-" "I know, I know" I say, interrupting my master. "You've done a lot for me since then, and for that, I'm forever in your debt." "Your welcome. So...Are you ready?" I look at my master as he says that. "Yeah. 'sigh' Let's do this." With that, she touched the desk of the student sitting closest to her, and it shimmered a wave of rainbow colors before returning to normal, as if nothing had happened. I was pretty sure that I was the only person in that whole room who felt impressed. That feeling faded quickly however when I noticed Sarah (the girl who'd led me to class earlier) raising her eyebrows at me in excitement. I rolled my eyes dramatically. * * * * * I jumped and grabbed the branch with one hand and gripped the trunk on my right with the claws on my right wing and the trunk on the left with my left as I attempted to regain balance. With both legs hanging in midair, I probably looked like some demented cartoon character. But after a series of awkward pull-ups, I managed to swing my right leg over the branch, and at the same time let my wing drop its hold on the right tree as I pushed myself into a semi-comfortable sitting position. When I was completely sure I wasn't going to fall, I let go of the tree with my left wing and shaded my eyes with my hand as I peered over at the other school. They didn't seem like enemies. They were jumping around and climbing on the obstical courses just as the others were doing back at our castle. I watched them and wondered why they were so different from us, if they even were at all. "Cora! Come on, you'll be late for class!" someone called. I sighed and climbed back out of the tree. "Master? Is something wrong?" He looks back at me with concern in his eye's. "I'm afraid I can't go with you today. Something's come up." He says as he start's to walk away. "What is it?" "It's Terry and Suecra. They need my help back on Mt Coronet's Spear Pillar." "Another meeting? At this time? What could Arceus be thinking?" "It seems as though a rift hes opened up that needs to be taken care of." "A rift?.....You don't think it could be-" My master then grabs me. No! It can't be him! That man is dead, do you hear me?! HE'S DEAD!!!" By the time my master has finished blowing out my ear drums, he comes to his senses and let's me go. "Sorry about that." "It's okay. I'm the one who brought it up anyway." "So...You'll know where I'll be if you need me. Try to give this place a try, and don't tell anyone about your "Power" unless you feel it's okay to." "I understand, master." I say as I wave my master off. Right before I walk through the door, my master yells back to me. "And one more thing Impentus!" "Yeah?" I yell back. "Please stop calling me master. Call me by my real name, for once." "I understand.....Dark. © Copyright 2011 GloFish, Dr. Shrink, (known as GROUP). All rights reserved.
