[Introduction]
My invited guests and I will hopefully make your next few reading moments enjoyable. Each of us will attempt to take a common ordinary word and write a beautiful, humorous, or a dramatic poetic masterpiece.
The poetry you are about to read will vary in length, style and form. May you learn a new style to take into your own portfolio, learn the definition of a new word, or even attempt to write poetry.
* RickysGranny * THANKS HAIZEY!....LOLOLOLOL!
I AM GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS!!!!....LOLOLOL!!!
We laid in bed and watched the show,
as we snuggled closely under the sheets.
We do this every Saturday night,
for it is better than any movie seats.
My belly suddenly started to ache,
as I realized the chili was kicking in.
I hoped that it would quickly pass,
or this evening would be classified as a sin.
My hubby asked if anything was wrong,
as I made an attempt to leave our bed.
The poor guy thought this was just a game,
as he began to tickle me instead.
There was no way I could stop the blow,
as I felt the air in my stomach depart.
The room suddenly burst with a gigantic sound,
as I began to release the hideous fart!
I watched as my hubby began to cry,
as he laughed from the disgusting smell.
That is what he gets for keeping me in bed,
for this fart was clearly a gift from hell!
To taste dandelion wine on your lips once more,
I'd cross deepest water to a distant shore,
Though you tell me you love me with all your heart;
Time and spaces between us tear me apart
Feel my spirit enfold you my dearest love,
Flying fast and as true as spring's cooing dove
Will you cherish this moment true for all time?
Will it vanish in mists of dandelion wine?
The clouds sneak in from the west,
darkening midafternoon sky
and pushing air angrily
across our valley.
Suddenly wind whips my hair
in unison with the giant flag
overhead that snap with each gust.
A flash in the distance,
zigzags down to earth
and then to my ears--
rumbling loudly.
Rain drops begin to spatter
my face and thunder rolls closer.
Closing my eyes, I brace myself
against the wind
and inhale the freshness
of spring's thunderstorm.
* RickysGranny * She placed the ring upon his finger,
as she breathed an exclamation of delight.
This man, her love, her everything,
had made her life once again feel right.
A small tear cascaded down her cheek,
as they both reached in to share a kiss.
A lifetime she had waited for him,
and now they were joined in joyful bliss.
They future was now just a moment away,
as they would grow in all that they would do.
Thankful for the love that they share.
Greatful for this love they both hold true.
The word I was given was "Opalescent."
How amazing you’ve described my mate's colors.
For his eyes are like opals, and I’m so content
Staring into his alien Technicolors.
I suppose I should permit him to meet you,
But you’d probably fall for his manners.
For whenever he sees that sad shade of blue,
It’s like waving a help sign or banner.
He rushes to people and stares in their eyes,
And you know all about opalescence;
One glance and you sigh, and your heart starts to fly,
And marriage is always the consequence.
Call it fate, Call it fortune
Name it what you will...
But my fortune was tripled
And my destiny designed
The moment our eyes intertwined.
Passion and desire, hearts on fire
Love was suddenly realized.
So call it fate, if you will
But I know the moment we met..
It was pure and simple kismet
Bianca I'm dreaming of snow
sprinkles, that awaken me
beauty of winter
next word: love

souls bound to an infernal fate
doomed to pay for their crimes in life
I count my sins and transgressions
wondering for how long I will fall
and how much I will suffer...
