C-note Shop Form Suggestion

To be honest I am not sure if this is a tech glitch or just has never been a part of the c-notes. But,in creating a c-note shop, I tried to connect it to a group where the gps can be deposited, like they can be with the forums, only to discover there was no way to link the c-note shop funds to a group. If this is an over site, I am a bit surprised no o...[Read Full Post]

Re: Re: Manual Blog Promotion Box on The Hub

Well, I didn't want to overdo it by asking for too much. :)

Hence just the request for the manual in & out box for blog entries. Less work on WDC admin's part that way, and I figgered more chance of a result for us.

A natural progression would be a recently plugged entries section and/or a latest blog entries box on the front page. I know t...[Read Full Post]

Re: Manual Blog Promotion Box on The Hub

This sounds good, but I want to make sure I understand. It looks like there could be two things:

1. A new WdC "In & Out" for bloggers to plug and request comment on "entries" in their blog vice an "item" which In & Outs can only do such as at [Link To Item #819237] .

2. A section added to The Hub (WdC Home Page) for "Recently Plugg...[Read Full Post]

Manual Blog Promotion Box on The Hub

Just wondering if it's possible to have a promotion box on the front page (similar to review requests) for us to manually enter our blog entries so we can garner more readers?

Seeing as blog writing is considered an essential tool for writers, it makes sense for such a big destination as WDC to have a serious blogging platform available.

Hope that helps.

The hub of Writing.Com appears when you first sign in, but so far I haven't managed to get back to it after I've signed in, without clicking 'back' on my browser. It's a place I like to visit, and, being the hub, I think it deserves at least a quick-access link. How about up in the top right, near the logout button?

How about a Writing.Com version of the public domain, with pictures which aren't copyright which any user can take advantage of? Members or even non-members of WdC could submit pictures they have created or photos they have taken.

An idea for blocking users more efficiently

As it stands right now, if you want to block someone, you can only 100% block them. Some people (like me) might just want to block someone from emailing them, while still allowing them to read and/or add to their stories. I think the "block user" function should be improved to have this sort of middle ground available....[Read Full Post]

I often check my sent mail to see who I have said what to and have thought of a way that would make it much easier. The little symbol next to a message that you have replied to could be a link to the reply sent. Is that possible to do?
