  Welcome to the Monthly Acrostic Poetry Contest. Here is your chance to express yourself in acrostic poetic form with the chance to earn prizes while you are at it. RULES  All items must be poetry.All items must be written in acrostic format.All entries must be submitted in bitem format. All entries must be recieved by midnight on the LAST day of each month (that's writing.com time.) Type in your item number {bitem:####}.GUIDELINES Must use my prompt or a variation there of. Example: Say the prompt is 'spring. Your poem must be written in acrostic format using that word S P R I N G You may, however ask permission (in the forum only) to use a variation of the monthly prompt. Example: Say the prompt is 'Father' You may ask permission to use the word 'Daddy' PRIZES First place - a 10K ribbon - color of your choice Second Place - Poetry merit badge. Third Place - 5K gift points. Honorable Mention - 2,500 gift points. Judge's Extra - usually a ribbon, color, my choice. Given for entries going above the assigned prompt. Judge's Extra is NOT always given. Random Prizes. Gift points, MBs or awardicans given for a variety of reasons.
