I came to WDC because I am a writer. I wanted to be in a community of writers. I came to WDC with these goals: to improve my craft, find and offer support for writing, and to expand my awareness of the opportunities within the writing world.

What I found was an amazing community of accepting, affirming, and available people from around the world, who care passionately about writing--and fellow writers. Of all the writing communities available, this is the one I choose to be my professional writing home.

I am each of these. I am all of these. I am a writer. But, finally, I am just a Southeastern Kentucky hillbilly, living life as it can best be lived, one day, one moment, and one new friend at a time. I write mystery novels, and essays, and poetry. I write about the life I live, and the friends I make along the journey. I have a Blog, and I teach creative arts programs for adult online learners.

I hope you will join me on my journey. I hope you will invite me to share yours, as well. To grow, learn, and share together is the very finest hope of any true community.
