Rules are as follows:

All stories must be exactly 55 words. The judges will do a word count to make sure. The title of your story will not be counted to make the 55 words. Words may be repeated as the author sees fit but will be counted each time they appear.

All stories will be rated no higher than 18+. Any text appearing in the forum must be ASR or below. Text in linked stories may be up to the 18+ rating. Any post containing text directly in the forum above ASR will be deleted.

There will be only one entry per round per person.

Hyphenated words will count as separate words. Example: Half-finished will be counted as two words. There are exceptions to this rule. Some words must be hyphenated such as words beginning with a prefix, (such as anti), which cannot stand on its own as a word itself.

Numerals will not be counted as one word, but as the words required to spell them out. For example, "837" would be counted as 4 words (eight hundred thirty seven). You might want to write them out yourself in your entry to avoid confusion.

Must be a static item in your port. Post in forum using bitem format. If you don't know how to do bitem, you can go to " Weekly NEWBIE Challenge"  [E] and learn how to do it. Posting a story directly in the forum will lead to deletion.

If there are less than 5 entries, the contest will remain open until the next ending date (Saturday at midnight) that has at least 5 entries. A contest round with 5 entries will have only first place awarded. If there are less than 10 entries, awards will be given for first and second place.

Editing can be done up until the time that I announce the round over and contest closed.

No prompts will be given at this time. You can write whatever you want to write in any genre as long as it follows the rules.

We have now made this contest a weekly contest. Every entry received before Saturday night at 12 Midnight WDC time will be counted for that week's round. Any entry received after 12 Midnight on Saturday will be counted on the next round.

You may not enter the exact story twice for different rounds.

All entries must be made public by time of Round judging (Midnight each Saturday)

If any participant doesn't have space in their port because of membership restrictions, email Storm Machine with 55 word story as the subject and the story you wrote to enter. I will put it in a folder for judging purposes.

All stories must be able to be rated and reviewed by the judge. (The only exception is made for those with ports that are completely filled, which will be placed in a judge's port in the above rule.)

Prizes:
First Place will receive 4,000 GPs.
Second Place will receive 2,500 GPs,
Third Place will receive 1,500 GPs.
