Most of the decisions have already been made, although I'm a bit behind in sending the notifications so I ask that you are patient for a short while longer.

What is the most any writer can ever ask for? To tell a tale worth telling. To make people cry. To make people laugh. And even, once in a while, make them think about things, and see the world just a little differently than when they began.

Still Open for Submissions

Things have been a bit slow in October, so I thought I would just confirm that the Farspace Anthology is still open for submissions. I've added a 'Status' section to the intro so all authors can easily see how the Anthology stands. We are aiming for 20-25 items so there is still a lot of room for more stories yet!

Editorial Update

I just thought I'd notify all authors who have submitted in September that your stories have been read by all editors. If you have not yet been notified, then your story has made it to the second round of screening. But that doesn't mean you can't still submit other stories. While we will only accept one story per author, the more you subm...[Read Full Post]

Thanks for your submission. There is a slight problem with the WritingML formatting in your post, but I can still read the item #.

For future reference, the correct bitem formatting is:

ALIENS

ALIENS

The aliens have landed
Though they are quite small.
The largest among them,
Is four feet tall.

Their craft has crashed,
And it’s out of fuel.
They pray when discovered,
We won’t be cruel.

Their skin is transparent
And they have bubble eyes of red.
They look malnourished,
And appear under fed.

They speak without w...[Read Full Post]

THE MOON

THE MOON

For thousands of years man has wondered,

We can't help but feel what we're seeing.

King David watched his beloved, Bath Sheba,
While she bathed in the moonlight so bright.
He fell in love and had to possess her,
Then sent her husband to die in a fight.
