That reminds me of a song one of my uncles wrote. He called it "Trash" because that was the last word in the song, and because he couldn't think of what to call it.

Re: I have no clue what to call my nanowrimo storie

One rule my writing professor jokingly told me once was if you can't think of a title take the most insignificant object in your story and name the story after that. Think "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." Her tattoo really has absolutely nothing to do with the story. Of course, that wasn't the original Swedish title, but it worked.

Well, Population 24 foreshadows a sort of apacolyptic(sp?) town. It is the amount of survivors left after something happens. Which of these titles do you feel would be the one you would pick up from a shelf?

I didn't finish this year, either, but it's OK. Lots of people don't finish. The important thing is that you tried. NaNoWriMo is more about giving you a reason to write than about reaching a certain goal.

Re: I tried to complete a novel but failed.

Well, I applaud you for trying.
I went into NaNoWriMo with 43,000 words of a book I'd been working on off and on for six years, until I started writing full-time on it this year. It took eight months to get that many words, but in NaNoWriMo, in thirty days, I wrote 45,000 words. And finished the book's first draft.
But I can't imagine how ...[Read Full Post]

I agree. I think WDC is the best on line site for writers there is. I have looked at a few others but for some reason there is always something wrong with what they do.
I love the people here and most of them have the same desire to help others accomplish their goal of becoming a better writer.

There was a young lady at one of my local NaNo write ins that tracked her word counts with an Excel spreadsheet with all sorts of charts.
