Why do we write? Its not just for money or fame... indeed, many of us are happy in our anonymity. For me, it is a way to get messages across, to allow my opinions to develop in creative ways. For any other writers who feel like this, or who want to practice the skill of incorporating strong messages, this is the contest for you! Make a statement, get your opinions out there and win merit badges, gps and reviews while you're at it!

*Thumbsup*All entries must be based on one of the six quotes
*Thumbsup*Entries should be between 200 and 1000 words (a bit over is allowed, but will effect judging.)
*Thumbsup*Limit of two entries per person per round
*Thumbsup*Post in bitem format in the forum: intro's no higher than 13+ but any rating for the item itself is fine
*Thumbsup*If you edit after posting, be aware I may not have time to reread it
*Thumbsup*Include a word count in your item
*Thumbsup*Flash fiction only, no poetry

*Exclaim* If you don't follow the rules your entry will be disqualified, so please read them- there's not many!

*Gift1*Of course, everyone will get an in-depth review of their contest entry - feel free to look at my public reviews for an idea of how I review.

*Exclaim* Note: If there are less than 5 entries, there will be no placings and an entry prize will be awarded to all participants. If there are less than 8 entries, only first will be awarded. 8 entries reached - all prizes to be awarded *Wink*

*Thumbsup*I’ll be rewarding the stories with the best portrayed message (hence the ‘make a statement.’)
*Thumbsup*I'll also judge on plot, characters, grammer, spelling, flow, tension, build-up and how well it kept my attention, but the message is the biggie!
*Thumbsup* Your story must have a beginning, middle and end
