CRICKETTE Forever Remembered by: kellee  When we were but thirteen years old, a fellow school mate and friend let his obsession get the better of him. As a result, Crickette was murdered on her way to school one morning. It took fourteen years for her murderer to come to justice; and with this, there is still no rest for the weary hearts. For though the wound was sealed when Brian went to jail, a new one was opened to realize that someone else I cared about caused all this trauma. Every year, I have a reminder of what was taken away from everyone who loved Brickette, for the day of her murder also marks the anniversary of my marriage. She will never be forgotten, nor will she be a stranger to my son. Even though he was born four years after she died, he will know her and love her as I did.
