Introduction: It seems that I don't have any trouble coming up with ideas for short stories - but I can't find the time and patience to sit down and write! Since I love to read short stories, and I'm sure there are times when writers could use a prompt to write a story, I thought I would start this contest.
The basic idea is this: In each round, I will give you two prompts. It is up to you to create an "out of the ordinary" short story based on the prompt.
Each round will begin on the first day of the month and last one month. The round will end on the last day of the month at 5:30 pm (Writing.com time).
Round 11 will begin on December 1 and end on December 31.
One entry per author per round.
Your entry can be either an original work written just for this contest, or a previously written story. Previous contest winners (in other contests) or otherwise awarded items are accepted.
Length: You can write any length story that you want to, but try not to go over 3,000 words. Because I'd like to devote as much time as I can to reading and evaluating your stories, please limit your story to 3,000 words. I will accept stories that go over this count (within reason), but I'd like to keep the stories short.
Editing: You can edit a story before the round is over.

Your story can be any rating, but please keep your entry listing at 13+.
I may make changes to these rules, based on how things run. This is my first contest, so there could be some changes. If you have any suggestions for me, feel free to let me know!

1. Write a story where every paragraph begins with the word "Suddenly."
2. Write a story using second person narrative.
Round 11 will begin on December 1 and end on December 31.
Judging and Prizes
So far, I am the only judge for the contest. I will judge each entry based on a rubric that I have created, in order to judge each story as fairly as I can. There may be a guest judge from time to time. If you are interested in guest judging, please let me know by sending me an e-mail.
