  Here our well known fellow named Dave, a published author provides research, common decency between class distinction, all topped off via adorable life of ducklings.  Then a small village scene leads the poultry --- all the way to ... hmmm? Well onto Christmas dinners.  Yummy tale reminds me of a Alexander McCall Smith.  High praise for dialogue.  Review of "Paito's Golden Duck"

DEAR AUDIENCE -- Please note: CONTEST RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

SUBMISSIONS:

Forum post submissions are a-okay. If the post runs over 1,000 words please create a bitem for your story or poem.

EACH and EVERY submission must follow Christmas genre. The theme is Christmas, thus your creations must  contain the word Christmas, the date DEC 25 or reasonable wording pertaining to this winter holiday.  Genre combos are fine e.g. a Christmas setting for a mystery, a comedy fiction piece, etc.

NO word limits on entries.

Accepting original Poetry and Short Stories pertaining to the season.

Accepting new or old stories that have NOT been entered in previous years @  "EVERYONE HAS A CHRISTMAS STORY

CONTEST READING FEES requirements are as follows.

POETRY --- 500 gp entrance fee per poem.

SHORT STORIES -- 3,000 gp entrance fee per short story.
No exceptions.

PRIZES for SHORT STORIES:

FIRST PLACE WINNER receives 30,000 gp
Second Place winner receives 20,000 gp
Each Honorable mention shall receive 5,000gp.

PRIZES for Poetry:
FIRST PLACE WINNER takes home: 5,000gp
Second Place for Poetry --- 2,000 gp

MULTIPLE ENTRIES are acceptable for all categories above.
