Curtain open
The set is empty and dark. The audience can make out a single form standing in the center of the stage.
All the lights suddenly illuminate GIRL. She has long brown hair and hails from Wisconsin.
GIRL:
squinting against the harsh lights What... what's going on? I don't understand. Where is everyone? Why is there nothing here?
DISEMBODIED VOICE: Because you have yet to create it.
GIRL TWO enters stage left, looking up towards the lights as GIRL still is, a look of bewilderment on her face. She has short, dark hair and hails from Arizona.
GIRL 2: I don't understand. Create what?
DISEMBODIED VOICE: The set, the characters, the music, the laughter, the emotions, the lights, the -
GIRL: Okay, okay! I get it. But... can't we have something to go on? I mean, that's pretty intimidating, just giving us a blank stage and telling us to have fun.
GIRL TWO: Yeah! It's not like either of us has ever done this before. I mean, this was all kind of a spur of the moment thing...
GIRL: A whim, if you will!
GIRL TWO:
smiles Yes, a whim.
DISEMBODIED VOICE:
sighs Fine. I suppose I shall give you just this one hint. Something to kick start you. But nothing more - the rest must come from you.
slowly In a world where mustaches are illegal... an out-of-work lion tamer... washes up on the shores of Zombie Island.
Suddenly music explodes all around the stage and women dressed in tails and nylons dance out from stage right and stage left holding canes and top hats.
