What is a Writing Buddy & What are the Benefits? :
Are you looking for:
 Someone who shares your passion for writing?
Help improving your writing with the chance to offer the same in return?
Help brainstorming and fleshing out new story or poem ideas?
A writing buddy and hopefully a friend?
If you said 'Yes' to any or all of the above, then you've come to the right place!
That's me, but how do I get started?
Post in the forum below, letting others know about you and then interact with others here looking for a buddy that matches your interests in writing.
Things you might want to include:
 What genres you write: Science Fiction, Non-Fiction, Emotional, Horror, ect.
What type of writing you do: Poetry, Essay, Short Stories, Novels, etc.
Are you over or under 18, and do you have a preference about working with someone close to your own age?
Are you male or female and which would you prefer to work with, or do you not have a preference?
I will add all BIOs to Buddy Bio List below. I encourage you to check the profiles there often and email anyone that might be a potential match for you. We do NOT assign you a Buddy. The problem with that is that no one knows you like YOU. We want you to find someone that you work well with and becomes a friend as well.

Once you have found that special writing partner, leave me a post or drop me an email and I will add you to the "Buddy Matches"  list! You are then eligible to participate in ABN Contests and Activities! Each new pair will get a small gift to welcome them, be it GPs, raffle tickets, merit badges ect! 
Buddy Contest!!!
Instead of asking you to write as a team for the Angel Buddy Contest, I am going to give you a prompt/genre and let you write on your own. I encourage you to communicate with your writing partner and use them as an accountability partner, critic, cheerleader, editor, or just a friend to listen.
In honor of haunting & holiday season the October/November genre will be HORROR/THANKSGIVING. Come on people! Mawhahahahhaa! Send a chill down my spine and make me check under the bed at night!  Or make my mouth water and bring tears to my eyes with laughter at the tales of family get togethers! 
Entries must newly written for this contest.
Minimum word count 500 and maximum 2000
Leave me a link in the forum below when you are finished.
Sound like fun but don't have an Angel Buddy? There is plenty of time to get one! Check out the "Buddy Bios" list! These people are looking for a writing partner. Drop them an email, get to know them. A writing buddy can be a fabulous asset to your writing and a great friend.
The contest starts Oct. 1st and runs until Nov 29th @ 11:59 PM WDC time!
The Prizes!!!
All entries will be awarded with an appropriate Merit Badge of the season ... Ghost, Horror, Vampire Gothic or pumpkin,
One entry will be chosen as the Grand prize winner and awarded a 50K awardicon in orange or black!
