This is a place where I keep up with and even discuss awards I have given other writers. I believe that I have been given some insight in the writing and I use that insight to encourage others. I would like to give a WilliamWriter 250K Trophy some day to an extraordinary writer at WDC. I will keep my eyes open for such an opportunity. However, I must be completely blown away before that would happen. I do not want to cheapen the awards! I give Merit Badges and Awardicons as I run across writers and pieces that stand out to me. I know some reviewers review as writers and others review as readers. I love the reviews of both. One gives me suggestions on improvement while the other might just state whether or not they would recommend my piece to a friend to read. Whether or not I agree with or like your suggestions, I still respect and appreciate the time spent. Indepth reviews are to die for, but I also am an entertainer and love to hear my readers. I will gain fans as I meet their reading needs. One thing I don't like. A reviewer who tells me what a wonderful piece I had written and then slaps the item with a 2.0. Give a 2.0 if you think the piece deserves it, but please justify your rating. If you give the piece a 5.0, I hope you will justify it as well. Why did/didn't you like it? What made it good or bad? How can I improve it? These are questions I would like the answers to. I had to go send in a check for more Gift Points because I really got carried away in this deed! I had a blast. It cost me in having to put off other things that I wanted to buy, but I get obsessed sometimes. The point is, if you want a review and awardicons, you have a better chance of it if you can catch the attention of a busy man. You have my attention as an obligation if you buy my package at an auction. You have my attention if you come up on my E-mail, especially as a reviewer of my work, because I feel an obligation as a courteous professional to respond to your reviews or attention. But, as a busy man, I cannot always respond right away. I feel a lot more pressure when I am obligated to an auction. Okay, this still needs some work and messaging, but I think I got the message across. Remember though, I am only one person! Thanks for your time. -William Anyway, I often check out the Portfolios of those who visit mine if I know they have been by. -WilliamWriter |
