UNDER CONSTRUCTION PRESENTLY CONTEST HALL OF FAME: FOR CONTESTS Yes, dear members, you're reading correctly. This is a contest for contest hosts and hostesses. A place to enter, post, share with fellow authors. Your contest might be a winner --- If entered and accepted for "CONTEST HALL OF FAME: FOR CONTESTS"  With a little luck, hoping to make this a monthly contest. It is an original idea from FICTION!! FANDANGO!! (I think.) Over the years since joining in Oct 2004, I've often seen my ideas used a little sparingly by other members. Sincerely hope that will not be the case this time. And I mean no offence. Simply that credit for this is cordially being claimed at this time by this author.Look around. Perhaps you agree an Internet Writing Contest craze abounds off-site and on-site. W.C. is right up there at the top of the search list, if you have a ken surfing the web. So be proud, be loud and undertake to sing your praises for jobs well done. Testing flooded waters with this one! Albeit with your marvelous ability to create your contest fair, hosts & hostesses already measure high on the list of showing: Exposure for upcoming, talented, and potentially talented authors who are contestants in these contests. Showing: A grand sense of community spirit and sharing. A spectacular generosity via prizes and time spent at the helm of the contest/ forum. Showing: support of many various genre to creative writers from all walks of life. NOW IS YOUR CHANCE contest/ forum hosts to receive recognition. Since contests owners offer their time and expertise as seasons change and years fade into history before our very eyes, my friends. NOW IS THE CHANCE for contest hostesses to primp, prepare and preen your stuff as you indeed certainly deserve the winners circle. BECAUSE of the competitions you sponsor while seeking the best of that particular best. Namely: winners all year long. And now is TEFF'S chance to award both prizes and exposure. Time to dress your contest to the nines. Generous endeavors in Contest World usually include a magnifying glass's worth of rules, guidelines, themes, categories, prompts, etc. as many a happy contestant is aware. GUIDELINES, of course. ENTER one contest per round and it must be your contest. No weekly contests at this time, sorry. No daily contests at this time, sorry. Bi-monthly, monthly or longer are acceptable. You may submit the contest in bitem format only. Presentation is everything is said often enough. However, that is not the sole criteria for "CONTEST HALL OF FAME: FOR CONTESTS" Sure, it's great to sport attractive art but content is just as important. Follow up will be undertaken by myself and an impartial judge whom I hope to contact shortly. Checking to see if all went well after the contest closes is going to be a ton of work. If a contest is chosen for the CONTEST HALL OF FAME and it is brought to my attention that something went amiss then that name will be dropped from the Hall of Fame List via private communication. (See, don't want to pick a winner and then discover reasons why not if there are warranted reasons presented.) Due to the work involved and monitoring of your forum/ etc, an entry fee is necessary. Donations are terribly sought at this time. Donars shall be listed by user name with their permission. Considering running short story contest, then poetry, etc. However, since Sept is going to be the first month --- will allow all entries from all contests on-site. Thus any qualifying contest may be considered in this mixed bag start up. No distinctions this time. Entrants must query first --- in the forum. NO E-mails. E-mail space will be needed to take care of other business. Please, no E-mails. Review Comments okay. And yes, there's thousands of us here who say we ignore color cases. A few weeks ago a reviewing push from black cases only was organized for a Sat. in Aug. However, unsure if above black case can claim they also may count thousands who ignore case color, myself. Yellow, blue cases have recieved an award already in a sense. This is great. Miss Teffy is most happy for you. And I know you offer voluntary hours again and again. Very kind of you. Therefore: Entry Fee scale: YELLOW CASE --- 5,000 gp BLUE CASE --- 10,000 gp BLACK CASE --- 1,000 gp NOT wanting to get in any grueling mishaps, these are the only cases being courted to submit their contests at this time. Please respect this decision. IMPORTANT:Contestants must query before submitting. Why? Well, suppose you own a contest counting stripes on a zebra. Well, I can't get over to your place to check, if you don't mind. Plus, I know squat about zebras. To submit a story or poem off-line often a query is required. Queries will simply narrow the field of accurate judgment, you understand. Plus, viewers can learn from specific queries you write. Each monthly winner will automatically go into the "CONTEST HALL OF FAME: FOR CONTESTS" WITH MEMBER'S NAME AND THE NAME OF THEIR CONTEST.At the close of 2007, all contest winners will then compete for the Grand Finale Prize. See, I am not one of those millionaires (who is really) so this is still rather up in the air. Like, Miss Teffy declares above: this Contest is OPEN for posts and under construction. So far, to be honest this seems like a lot to bite into from this desk. Thus help is most appreciated. CONTEST OFFICIALLY OPENS SEPT 1, 2007 So far, unless otherwise stipulated Sept --- shall determine a First Place Winner who will recieve 10,000 gp. Note: Subject to change.
