The Paradise Cove Writing Challenge is a monthly romance and erotica contest is open to all authors on WDC.





Hello, I'm Jace, your host.




Every month new visual or text prompts will be posted. Write a romantic and/or erotic short story that the prompt inspires in you. Let's discover what you have hidden from everyone in your very own Paradise Cove...

*BoxCheck* This month's round begins immediately and will close at 11:59 pm WDC time on THURSDAY, MAY 31st. The judging will not take place until after the contest closes. You may edit your offering any time up to the deadline. The winner(s) will be notified on or about Jun 8.

*BoxCheck* All entries must be short stories between 1000 and 3000 words. No poetry please! Please post your word count within your story either at the beginning or the end.

*BoxCheck* Because of the nature of the contest, content ratings up to XGC are acceptable. While I enjoy a smoldering love scene, some words and phrases that are used more for their shock value will find a slightly deaf ear or blind eye. Use your imagination, my friends.

*BoxCheck* All entries must be posted in bitem format in the forum below. Please do not copy and paste your story into your forum post. See "Linking Help And Practice"   by * §apph * if you're unsure how to post your entry.

*BoxCheck* Only one entry per person is allowed each month.

*BoxCheck* This is a writing challenge, and thus I seek new stories. However, an older story that fits the prompt well AND is previously unawarded may be submitted. Simultaneous submissions to other contests is not allowed.

*BoxCheck* All valid entries will receive a review. Please let me know if you prefer your review to remain private. *Smile*

*BoxCheck*} In the event fewer than seven entries are received, only first prize will be awarded. If under three entries are received, I reserve the right to issue gift point awards to all entries with their reviews. On rare occasions I may decide to extend the deadline.

A FAVORITE RE-VISITED
You all have a favorite TV show or movie. Rewrite it to include an erotic encounter. Any characters in that show or movie are fair game. Please identify which show you are writing about (in case I'm not familar with it). *Wink* You can even change the ending if you desire.

This is a Writing Challenge.  I'm looking for creativity, plot and tension. *Smile* As always, while ANY subject is fair game, excessive is not always appealing.





First Place will receive a 25K Awardicon, and an Erotica merit badge.

Second Place will receive a 10K Awardicon and an Erotica merit badge.

Third Place will receive an Erotica merit badge.

Honorable Mentions may or may not be awarded. Any selectee will receive 3000 gift points.
