Ordinary Things Contest
A small stakes contest with a monthly prize
Rated:

by
Avg Rating: (9)
Welcome to

Each month I will present you something ordinary.
Your task is to describe it without naming it.
So if the item is the sound of a crackling fire
using the word fire disqualifies the entry.
Forbidden word(s) will be underscored in challenge.

The Battle Above
Orginally written for Ordinary Things Contest
by CountryGranny~working

1) No graphic content! I'm not a prude, but all entries
are open for viewing across WDC.

2) The object(s) and its/their synonyms may not be used
except as part of the title.

3) Entry must be submitted by the 15th
of the month. Both poetry and prose
accepted. One per contestant, please.

4) Post in bitem format, please

5) I read entries on arrival and treat them as oration.
This reading qualifies or disqualifies.
Disqualified items will not be re-qualified by editing.

Tie Break:

One tie was enough for me! In the future, ties will be broken by Case Color and or Community Rec Points. LOWER case colors and/or rec numbers will receive the HIGHER award! As the bible says in many places: "The last shall be first and the first shall be last!

Advice on wording:

When in doubt, BAIL OUT! If you think a word might disqualify your entry, you're as likely to be right as not. 50-50 isn't really good odds.

What does a good-bye feel like?
