Writing.Com: Suspense Magazine Contest (Forum)

Hello all you suspense/thriller/mystery fans! Looking for a fun contest? Come one, come all. I, Angela Alsaleem Screenplaying , am sponsoring this contest for suspensemagazine . For more information about Suspense Magazine, check out their website @ http://suspensemagazine.com and have fun reading the many stories listed there.

This contest period will run from May 1st until August 31st. Three winners will be selected!!

Suspense:
A state or condition of mental uncertainty or excitement, as in awaiting a decision or outcome, usually accompanied by a degree of apprehension or anxiety.

This broad description covers several genres, so long as the suspense/thriller/mystery element is clear throughout your story. Good writing is good writing.

Rules:
Every contest has them

1) All stories must be submitted here in bitem format; if you need help submitting in bitem, let me know.

2) All stories require 1,000 GP's to enter (to be divied up among the top three winners; you may enter more if you choose).

3)All entries must be recieved by August 31st

4) Stories must be between 500 and 5,000 words in length. Please post word count at the beginning or end of your story.

5) You may submit as many stories as you wish, but be sure to include 1,000 GPs per story. Also, stories from other contests whether they have been awarded or not may be submitted. Send your best work, whatever that may be, so long as it fits the genre and it hasn't already won a prize in THIS contest!!

6) One final rule: Please submit your stories so that the subject line says the entry month as well as your story title so I can keep this month separate from last month. If you are submitting more than one story, type "attached" in the subject line. Thanks.

PRIZES
All GP's given to this contest will be divided among the top three winners of the contest. Furthermore, The three winners will have their stories published online, on their own page! Suspense Magazine will link back to your writing page and help promote you.

THE GRAND PRIZE winner will also have their story submitted to some of the publishing companies that Suspense Magazine and Cliffhanger Literary Agency are working with.
