Introduction:
Welcome to my prompt based contest. The goal here is to answer the age old story creating question: what if? The answer to that question opens up the possibility for action, for interest, for character development, for a story. I got the idea from a campfire that I created for a contest where each person had to write how their character would react to a "what if" question presented.
This is a short story contest. The questions are supposed to spark ideas for the plot and situations. It's not about answering the question, per say. Also, it is good to post what question you are answering. However, you should try to come up with a different title than the actual prompt use. It's not a rule or necessary, but it looks much better with a creative title than the question/prompt.
The Rules:
1. All entries must be posted in {"bitem:######"} format. If there isn't enough room in your port email me and we can work something out. Do not post the story directly in the forum for it will get deleted.
2. The entry must follow one of the prompts and preferably only one. Need to see the prompt in the story and not just a note or in the description. If I can't tell how the prompt is in the story that will be a problem.
3. Keep all posts within the rating of the forum. Stories can be any rating, as long as they are marked the proper ones by WDC standards. I will suggest rating changes if seem fit, remember with this site sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry when rating items.
4. One entry per person.
5. Stories should be at least 250 words but not over 3000. (No poetry)
