Welcome! To the second class of the Paper Doll Gang.
(This is a contest for Paper Doll Gang members only.)
Come on in, have a seat and we'll get started...
I'm Meeple and I'll be running the first contest you have access to through the Paper Doll Gang. This is a playground for you all to get comfortable and get to know each other as we practice the things you're learning in the first few challenges.
I am a parent and teacher in real life, so I truely believe there are no stupid questions. If you have anything you need clarified, drop me a note, either here or in a private email. I'm here to help.
This is more or less a free-writing contest. The topic is 'Early Birds', but you don't need those exact words in your piece, just use it as a writing prompt.
The deadline for this contest is Midnight of May 31st, WDC time.
You are welcome to edit your entries up until the deadline, entries edited after that time will be disqualified.
Gang Members are allowed to enter up to three items, but only one for each category below.
You may write: A poem or song lyrics of 40 lines or less. A short story of between 100 and 1000 words. A non-fiction essay of between 100 and 1000 words.

In your entry I would like to see: Center your title. Create a link to your name using the {user:XXXXX} format.
Just change the xxxx's to your username.
Mine looks like this: {user:meeple} and shows this Shhh, Meeple is NaNo'ing.. At least one word in colored text. At least one emoticon. , or , or , or are examples.
