Lesson 1 DT: Use of Bitem
Bitem unnecessary in the forum

This item has no ratings.
It is my personal preference to use bitem in forums.

I choose to use this form of displaying not only my work, but others without having to copy and paste the entire story, poem, article or chapter in the forum itself.

My knowledge of using this form of transporting pieces of writing was a total puzzle when I first came to WDC. I came to love it as I learned to use it. It allows one to have the title of one's work, the author's name, and a brief description of the work. One click and you have the work in front of you.

Only brief experience using bitem will become addictive due to the ease of use. No more copying; no more pasting, just {bitem: xxxxxx}(without the space of course) and your work is accessible.

Opposing view:

One has to leave the forum itself to view an author's work if bitem is used. If the piece is posted directly to the forum it is not necessary to move away from the page to read all posts from all authors.
