As we age and leave our youth behind us, some of us dream of discovering
the secret to staying young forever, of finding the "fountain of youth."

Write a story or poem about that discovery,
either taking a literal or metaphorical approach,
including "fountain of youth" in your item or title.

Star You may submit ONE poetry entry, and/or ONE short story entry, though you can only win for one category.
Star You must create a STATIC ITEM for your entry(ies).
Star Only newly created items for this specific contest are eligible (created on or after Sept. 1) for entry.
Star Entries that do not follow the prompt as stated above will be removed. Please, note that, although our contest celebrates WdC's ninth birthday, the prompt is about discovering the fountain of youth.
Star Do not post any entries until the contest officially opens at 12:01am September 1, or it will be deleted.
Star Please post each entry separately, with the subject message: "Poetry Entry" or "Story Entry."
Star You must use the bitem link tag to post your item.
Star Items must be rated no higher than 18+, with E-rated Intro's/Descriptions.
Star Poems must be 40 lines or less in length, and must include a line count in the item. Any form is allowed.
Star Stories must be 2000 words or less, and must include a word count in the item.
Star Attention will be paid to correct grammar, spelling, etc. so make sure your item is as polished and edited as possible.
Star You may edit your item up until the deadline -- any items edited after the deadline will be DQ'd.
Star Deadline is September 15, 2009, 11:59 PM WdC time.
