Can you write a story about Halloween, that has scary elements, but will fit in the 13+ rating of Writing.com? In this contest I am looking for stories that should involve children and an event around Halloween. Peril has to be make-believe, no bodily harm may come to any character. Fiction and non-fiction are welcome.

To allow for real life hilarious stories to be written down after Halloween, the deadline for entries is November 30th 2010 at 11:59 pm WDC time.

The Rules:

Short stories with a maximum of 2000 words. Sorry, no poetry.

Include a word count at the top or bottom of the story. Not in the forum post.

One entry per author.

New stories preferred. Stories that were posted to WDC since Halloween 2009 and which have NOT received an award may get submitted.

There are no restrictions on editing your stories. But: entries might be read at any time, so edits after posting may not be seen. All reviews will get sent out after the contest closes on November 15th.
