Like the preceeding FARSPACE anthologies, FARSPACE 3 will have an ISBN (published by Utility Fog Press
http://www.utilityfogpress.com) and will be available for order from several online sellers as a digest-sized paperback.
Writers
What we are looking for:
Speculative fiction in the form of...
Short stories (1000 - 7,500 words)
Poetry (40 lines maximum)
That must be:
Any genre of speculative fiction. ie: any story that attempts to answer, directly or indirectly, the question 'what if'?
Publication ready (or very near). We are not looking for stories that need a lot of editing. Please revise before submitting.
Your own, original work.
How to submit:
If you are interested in submitting a story for inclusion in the anthology (all rights remain yours) please post in the forum below with a {bitem:} link to your item. Your story MUST be in your portfolio on Writing.Com and PLEASE do not delete your story until you have heard from us.
Artists
What we are looking for:
An original, creative, and probably a little surreal cover image. To get your creative juices flowing, have a look through some online galleries such as:

http://www.artwanted.com or at our recent covers (Farspace 2 cover will be posted soon)
For simplicity (in preparing the book) please try to envision the image as a book cover. i.e consider the placement of key objects in relation to the cover, and consider whether you think it would be a one-piece wrap-around cover or only the front (this consideration should be reflected in the dimensions of your image).
How to submit:
If the image is in your Writing.Com portfolio then please post a message in the forum with the {bitem:} link. If it is in another online portfolio, you can post that URL in the forum. If you want to e-mail it to us, please ensure the image is no larger than 1 MB (we will ask for a larger version if we want it) and send to either

What you get (if your story/art is chosen):
Published in the Farspace Anthology 3 with ISBN so you, your family or friends (or anyone!) can buy it from any of a number of online retailers, or order it through your local bookstore.
To retain all rights to your story/art (However, authors must sign a document stating we have rights to publish their work in this anthology)
Publicity in the world outside of WDC
1 copy of the published book
This is not vanity publishing (see Farspace 1, and soon 2, anthologies to judge for yourself). We are seeking the most original, well-written Writing.Com stories we can find, to produce the best anthology we can.
Submission Deadline: February 28, 2010
Multiple submissions are allowed but only 1 per month from any author
