Round 3 begins on July 1, 2010 with entries being due by Midnight, WDC time, July 31st.

* This round will carry on from the second round and again you will be given two prompts. You may use either one to create your story.

The prompts for this round are:

*NoteB* 1. In October each year, Golden Eagles congregate on the east slope of the Bridger Mountains in Montana, prior to the winter migration. Weave a story about a tribe of First Peoples of your choosing and the congregation of the Golden Eagle.

*NoteB* 2.Herbal remedies play a big part in the First Peoples' lives. Write a story about the finding, storage and the use of one such herb from the point of view of a medicine person in a tribe of your choice.

* Research is encouraged and facts pertaining to the animal, tribal members or site are required within the writing, but the writing is to be fictional.

* Let us see what your research skills are like and how you can weave them into a story that will hold our attention and make us select YOU as a winner.

* Please tell us the prompt you have used in your post heading and the number of words must be at the beginning or end of your story.



Round 3 is open now, and we will accept stories until July 31, 2010 at 11.59pm WDC time.

*NoteB* This is a short story contest.  Stories should not exceed 2,000 words, but allowances will be made if you are just over that figure.

* No late stories will be accepted.

* Old stories can be submitted if they fit the theme and have not been awarded.

* Please submit your entry in bitem format.

* All entries will receive at least one public review and rating from the judges. Reviewing and judging will commence after the closing date.

* Please keep posts and submissions 13+ or below.
