This forum is rated E for EVERYONE ... so keep it squeaky-clean! WELCOME, ALL ... The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. A-men'.   I decided to create this forum after reading "The Shack," which was life-changing for me. Only the Bible, itself, has affected me more than this book. I hope everyone will consider reading this little gem that is jam-packed with God's love for us. I love You Papa! Feel free to share your thoughts on the book, your walk with God, your "Great Sadness" in life, which Jesus will gladly take off your back, your faith, prayers, hopes or just to fellowship with other believers. I have posted the first further down on the page, and starting in June you may post yours in the forum below. ~Hannah As we journey through life, God plants seeds for us to find, plant, nurture, harvest and then share. This book could be that seed for many people. ~Mystic We evidence God by the way we live our lives, but reconciling pain and suffering is sometimes a very big challenge to us. Mr. Young has presented God as personal, loving and understanding and has answered that challenge. Read with an open heart and mind, and you may renew a relationship as I have. Faith transcends some awkward writing and theological loopholes, but the focus of this book is our relationship with God, not theology. The Shack takes the fear out of that relationship. ~Connie Thank you God for sending us an author who so willingly and ably takes our world, so filled with strife, and offers us a new vantage point to look upon it. I LOVE the part in the book where the three spiritual persons, one Jesus, et al, converse with the main character. And his distrust of one the Holy Trinity persons (My word) who is black and female, makes it tough for him to BELIEVE that God is in the room with him. And she tells him lovingly to relax, that she IS God, and she IS this person due to the fact that through HER power, she APPEARS to him via this gender/race to HELP him accept the notion/fact that the Divine is very much here and now. BEAUTIFUL. ~Jimmy A Special Tribute To JudyB  ~  ~ ~~SPECIAL BIBLICAL TOPIC The Rapture The word "rapture" comes from Paul's "caught up" remark in Thessalonians 4:17. The words "caught up" are translated from the Greek word harpazo, which means "to carry off," "snatch up," or "grasp hastily." The translation from harpazo to "rapture" involved two steps: first, harpazo became the Latin word raptus; second, raptus became the English word "rapture." The Bible has much to say about the Rapture. 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Matthew 24:31 And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. It is perhaps one of the most argued about topics in the entire Bible. Belief in it or not, whether it happens pre, mid or post tribulation, everyone has an opinion on this one. We welcome all your comments on this subject, and if at all possible, please back it up with scripture. I am a Pre-Trib believer, and I think He is coming very soon. The Marriage Supper of the Lamb In Luke 12:36, the Word states that when Christ returns, He will be returning from a wedding. In Revelation 19:7-8, we read about the marriage itself. The marriage supper takes place before the marriage. According to Jewish custom, the marriage contract, which often includes a dowry, is drawn up first. The contract parallels the act of faith we use when we trust Jesus to be our Savior. The dowry is His life, which was used to purchase us. When it's time for the wedding, the groom goes to the bride's house unannounced. She comes out to meet him, and then he takes her to his father's house. This precisely correlates with the events according to the pre-trib scenario. Jesus, the Groom, comes down from heaven and calls up the Church, His Bride. After meeting in the air, He and His Bride return to His Father's house, heaven. The marriage supper itself will take place there, while down here on earth the final events of the tribulation will be playing out. After the marriage supper of Jewish tradition, the bride and groom are presented to the world as man and wife. This corresponds to the time when Jesus returns to earth accompanied by an army "clothed in fine linen, white and clean" (Rev 19:14). "Come Up Hither" Many pre-trib writers cite Revelation 4:1, which says, "come up hither," as a prophetic reference to the rapture of the Church, leaving Revelation chapters 1 through 3 as a description of the Church Age. After the shout to "come up hither," the Church is not mentioned in Scripture at all. The attention of Scripture switches from the Church to the Jews living in Israel.  Prayers & Prayer Requests ~ ~~~Before you judge another person ... remember ... God just might be ... especially fond of them. Romans 10:9-10.  ~ ~~~Prayer of Salvation Dear Father in heaven, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore, Lord Jesus, transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to You alone and not to myself. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me and giving me eternal life. Amen.
