Enter a contest that pulls at your whimsical core!  whim·si·cal – adjective 1. given to whimsy or fanciful notions; capricious: a pixyish, whimsical fellow. 2. of the nature of or proceeding from whimsy, as thoughts or actions: Her writing showed whimsical notions of human behavior. 3. erratic; unpredictable: He was too whimsical with regard to his work. Synonyms: imaginative, amusing, curious, quizzical  RULES: Contest runs through midnight (WDC time) 5/31/10 Short stories and poems welcome in any genre or form. Short story: Minimum word count: 1000, Maximum word count: 2000. Please include count with submission. Poetry: Minimum line count:20, Maximum line count : 40. Please include count with submission. Entries should be 13+ or below. Entries should be submitted in bitem format (see "Invalid Item"  for instruction}. Direct posts in messages will not be accepted.Please submit new work.Older work will be considered as long as it has not received an awardicon and it follows the prompt. April/May 2010 Prompt:  For the first contest period (April/May), the prompt will be the image above! Let it inspire you. Contest starts now and will run through May 31st. A new monthly contest will start June 1st running monthly thereafter. PRIZES: Prizes are currently small as this is the first time running. They will increase if the contest receives enough donations and interest. 1st - Appropriate Merit Badge plus 5000 GP's and review of entry 2nd - 5000 GP's and review of entry 3rd - 3000 GP's and review of entry NOTE: If less than five entries are received, 1st prize will be awarded only.
